I took a covid booster on Friday because it looks like Covid is going to sweep through our area & I have too many comorbidities to risk not getting one. Unfortunately it completely ruined my weekend. By the next day I was fully sick and barely able to get up off the floor to use the toilet. Today I was more or less fine except for an absolutely stabbing pain in my shoulder that refuses to abate. I wanted to color this and do some variations with it so there's be some new content, but this is all I can get out at the moment. I'm struggling to get the page done for Monday. I thought that since I had the vaccine already it wouldn't do much to me if I got a booster, but I was WRONG. At least the worst of it was only one day. My left side may be basically non functional, but at least I can feed myself and get to the bathroom without it being a struggle. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be fine. I really hope so because this pain in my shoulder is right up on the line between tolerable and unbearable. Anyway, I'll try to get more to you as soon as I can. This was an unplanned thing and being down for 3 days is much better that 3 weeks, or being dead.

The piece is wonderful. But more importantly, if you need the downtime please do take it to recover. I'd say most of us are okay if you're late on pages and stuff so long as you're doing okay, you've earned some "Dude must be feeling bad, hope he gets better soon" sick time.

I think I left my booster too late (my Dr said due to other health issues it should be an extra full dose not a regular booster)... But today my son found out his roommate tested positive, and it's entirely likely he exposed us. I've been having symptoms since Monday.

Thanks for the taste of Brooksie! Color her later; we can wait. Yeah, the first COVID vaccine didn't bother me any more than a flu shot. The second one... knocked me for a loop. Flu-like symptoms the next day, and fatigued the second day after. The Booster had a similar effects, but reduced a little. Still, like you I have comorbidities, so I really needed to go through with this.

I hear ya on those side effects. After my booster my left shoulder was barely functional for like 4 days.

Regarding the booster: First, your strong reaction to it suggests that your system got full protection from the jab. The shoulder is, sadly, common. Expect it to ache for a bit. I am VERY glad you're taking good care of yourself. All your side effects are minor compared to what a person feels when they are intubated .

Opus the Poet

My favorite character in the whole shooting match.

Yeah, the booster knocked me for a loop, too. Would you like me to splash some pixels on for ya? :)
