Update August (Patreon)

My Apologies for the delay, here's my update for August!

So, first off, my background artwork for the development of a game has come to an end. The project has come to a close, with just a few odd jobs here and there that are sent my way if needed, but very rarely more than a day's task if that.

As is rather typical of such work there's no set in stone date when the company wishes me back for work on their next project, though they have expressed they want me on. At best I can say I won't have paid work until late September. Which is a little scary, but also I am rather fortunate to have some savings to live off for a time.

As of now, I have my full time to work on normal art and have been doing so for the past couple of weeks, barring the past few days when I took some time off after posting my latest Roza.

Currently though I am having a massive art-block which has lasted more than a week now annoyingly. I'm working on upcoming projects bit by bit each day but it's kinda like drawing through sludge. It's a slow process and not something that's easy to get out of. Just how it is sometimes and it sucks. It always passes though.

I know a lot of people have been asking me about commissions too, after I took two of them as a test recently. While yes I do have time to take them, I don't plan to, at least not over August or perhaps even September.

Why? Well, while I do enjoy them in moderation, they take a very long time and, without charging a bomb for them, are not worth it simply for the time investment. Also, each one takes time away from my list of personal projects, on average about half a month's or more work and while I have a list of my own works I'd like to get done this year, I'm not very enthusiastic about taking any.

For now at least, perhaps in September I will take some but we will see, but I won't say for sure.

For what I do have planned to work on over August you'll see me stream no doubt. I have some work for Beastworld coming up, a pinup for a new set of cards. A trade in return for a friend of mine who drew me something last month. And also another pinup of Roza, which you might have seen me work on already on Picarto.

To get these three done before September will be a real challenge, but it's my goal for now and something I am hoping to achieve.
