Overnight Stay WIPs (Patreon)

Here are the WIP shots and refs for Roza's latest pic! ;)

This pic started out as simple practice but grew into something more substantial earlier this year. For ages, I'd been toying with the idea of having Roza steal Roman's hockey shirt and finally got around to something.

Here she is, probably in some hotel room, giving her man a much-needed morale boost, or, maybe his team already won the match? I wouldn't doubt it considering this pic's context, either way, that guy's winning. ;)

I wanted to go for the usual snowy theme and had some refs that were very dark, which have kind of rubbed off on this piece. Certainly, the background here took a very long time to render, with all that baroque-like architecture on the buildings outside and the bouncing light inside too. This meant when coming to rendering Roza she was pretty easy, which was very welcome because the past two commissions I'd done had me rendering figures for ages.

Aside from my usual overworking of the eyes (the most important part of any portrait or pinup) and the final colour tweaks, those fishnets, well, the less said about them the better lol. I really hope I never get commissioned to draw them on multiple characters for my own sanity's sake.

That said, this piece probably took me about 30 to 40 hours this year to get done. I'm happy with it too, and have another similar one in the works as we speak.
