Hello! I'm writing this from our London apartment. We arrived here last night and I'm already excited to get to work.

The Year of the Future You is Here!

With the release of A Catalogue for the End of Humanity (thank you to the thousands who have bought it already!) and On Writing and Worldbuilding Volume III (again, thank you!), I decided to make 2024 the Year of the Future You.

Part of this is doing a monthly writing workshop on the Patreon discord where patrons submit a piece, and together we discuss how to improve our writing. Only the first 8 participants are allowed in each month, but we prioritise newbies.

This month's theme: A FRESH START.

It'll begin at 3PM UTC (3PM LONDON TIME) on the 28th January. It'll take place on the patron discord voice call, so sign up there! It's available to all patrons at the workshop tier.

MORE than a workshop?

There are 12 stories in A Catalogue for the End of Humanity, and each monthly, I will be breaking it down in a video as part of a workshop to understand why I wrote it the way I did, but also what I might change now looking back. I'll be reading it out in a livestream you can join me on. I'll also be going through the publication process of how some of these stories got published, the editing from the magazines behind the scenes, and who knows what else?

This will be a learning experience for me just as much as it is for you. In the futurem I'd like to maybe critique some of your work as part of a video, and more details will come out around that later.
