For the longest time ever, I wasn't entirely sure how I wanted to draw the last page of Swole Mates. I knew that it had to be a pin-up page that featured one last good look of how HUGE Snares had swollen himself into, with background elements for context and a size comparison with Pridestar. The initial sketch looked like this:

For all intents and purposes, I think the above sketch checked out all the boxes and it's something I would still like to return to for a future comic. The only reservation I had with this composition was that given the size limitations of the page, the resulting shot felt distant and the characters looked "smaller" than the effect I wanted to give readers. So I sat on the final page for months and finally came back with this:

I think with the top-down shot, not only do you still get the background elements for size and growth context, it also adds to the skyscraper effect of looking at the beach city beneath. With this angle, I was also able to better show Snares' expression and his interaction with Pridestar, as well as focus on some choice bits (wink).
