Gotta love oak trees; I have fond memories playing under oak trees. Personally love White oak over Red oak.

Just put two and two together! Norse mythology associates oaks with Thor since since the trees are relatively resistant to lightning strikes in addition to being durable wood. Meanwhile, drath in this world ride lightning strings to cross into this dimension. Therefore, an oak is the perfect barrier to keep lightning riding drath down in that hole.
