This should not have been as much fun as it was.

We're definitely never going to see this form in its entirety in the comic, but I wanted to make sure it was as accurate as it could be. I was looking at the designs for old US Tax Returns and based it directly off of the F1040 for the year 1944. Click here to take a look at some old fashioned bureaucracy.

There's one more page I need to design (Page 3, Box C refers Orrig to fill out Form ??? for Mages and some specific information regarding that class) but for now I'm pretty pleased with what I've got so far.

Mmmm how about that HOT HOT Patreon Content...??

Sees race/species line... Thistle: ::cold sweat:: Brent: 'pulls out family genealogy form'. Lyra: puts 'f#@k you' on the line Orrig: simply puts 'orc' then edits lyra's to say elf

I would figure after the apocalypse bureaucracy would have burned but it appears the adage of 'death & taxes' remains in effect!

"Consultant" I suppose is the nice way saying you're employing a rogue? Maybe "Urban Specialist" but I imagine the tax form people really don't even want to hint that they know adventuring parties use professional thieves.

What about multiclassers? Thistle knows simple healing, defense and attack magic, and i would guess survival considering how often shes on the lam!

I love love love stuff like this. My D&D group has a whole in-character website with mission data forms, employment applications, and a recruiting spiel. It's so much fun to try and figure out how a professional organization would have to work to herd adventurers into doing useful things. :)

ha, the world might have ended god knows how often, but bureaucracy will always remain

ninjacharlz

Oh god i would kill for a full version of this

You joke, but this kind of stuff is incredibly helpful for someone writing fan fiction (cough). I am curious if the guild has a rating system for posts, like a high, mid, low danger rating

SO HOT IT BURNS

Details like this are what I live for! This would make excellent bonus content should you ever publish on paper.

Pah, amatuers. That looks pretty straightforward - and also the information you need to know if you are employing mercenaries; who they are, what their skills are, what they've done and who's their boss. You need to take a tip from our organisation and require the form to be signed by at least 5 different people, including the 'appropriate finance officer' without giving any indication who that might be or how you can find out.

MegSyv

Hahaha! There is a 100% likelihood of purposeful loopholes to accommodate for employees with such specialized skillset!

MegSyv

Oooohhh, that's where the Guild Regulations Handbook would have to be references. They're probably very specific yet vague on that front.

MegSyv

Please be advised that I bang on the keyboard for a lot of this stuff (specifically ID numbers and the like). Also: FANFICITION? Tell me more!!

MegSyv

That's on the last page (here's the place where I put that gif from Futurama of Hermes and another bureaucrat trading stamps and paperwork and calling it pleasantries)

I totally love you and this form. It just makes me smile. You made a form for your world. This is awesome.
