**SPOILER RULES**: Please keep all information to the episodes they have watched. Please allow S&P the same opportunity you all had to enjoy this experience the same way you all were able to. *You can talk about anything within reason but please:* 1. No character/character arc spoilers 2. No future event/episode hints or spoilers 3. No cheeky hints/semi-vague remarks about spoiler material, future episodes etc. they can be figured out. 4. No spoilers that are outside of the flavor lore exceptions rule. 5. Minimal setting of expectations for specific seasons or episodes of content, especially negative. Too much of this can alter the way they naturally receive and interpret the content. *Flavor Lore Exceptions:* Anything that is NOT explained by future episodes, but helps provide understanding or context for the episode is fine. An example being how Aang tends to fight defensively due to his air bender background, or why he is a vegetarian. !!ATLA+LoK Discussion Discord Channel!!: **We have a ATLA+LoK discussion channel on the Discord! If you want to discuss the reactions or the show in general with others in the community, spoiler discussion is ALLOWED there IF you use spoiler tags for content they haven't seen. We welcome you to join us!* These are all of our mods across Youtube, Discord, and Patreon: -SuddenImpulse -Wilson -Shellbot - BlackCaiman16 -Jonoridge -JWRANS -ChangDaBang -CheekyWalrus ******************************************************************************************** IMPORTANT MOD MESSAGE SPECIFIC TO LEGEND OF KORRA- READ BEFORE POSTING: ******************************************************************************************** If you want to say you dislike or like it **WITHOUT** going into specific details that's fine, but traditional spoiler rules apply for LoK. We must maintain BLIND reactions and opinions for the Legend of Korra content, just as we did with ATLA. That is what people are paying and watching these for. We are well aware of the heavy debate about these two shows. Please keep the ATLA vs TLOK debate and controversies to our community LoK discord channel AND ONLY THAT CHANNEL. We want those paying for Korra reactions to have an enjoyable time within the community and throughout this experience, and not have to sift through a bunch of hostile and aggressive debating or attacking the show. It just ruins the vibe and the fun, and if enough of it occurs it can also color S&P's reactions and cause them to be less natural, the very thing we are here for. Thank you!

To address the elephant in the room, the first half of Book 2 is animated by Studio Perriot instead of Studio Mir, the show's usual artists, which is why the characters all look different this season. Varrick is best boi (tied with Bolin of course), and his relationship with Zhu Lee is great, and she makes a great foil for him as she is so meticulous and precise, and Varrick is... Varrick. Mako being a cop... I dig it. A kinda strange career choice for someone with his personality, but then again in a world where motorcycle-riding cops launch themselves through the air over criminals' vehicles while blasting fire at them, it checks out. Bolin and Eska's dynamic was apparently found by some people to be the show making light of an abusive relationship, and while I can see that, it's clearly so exaggerated that it's not meant to be taken to seriously. Now there's still the fact that "if the roles were reversed..." but they're not, so that's that I guess. But yeah that actually was pretty funny to me, as Bolin is always pretty funny, and Aubrey Plaza (voice actor for Elsa) is simply always a win.

I felt Korra's treatment of Tenzin was a bit harsh, but Tenzin and her father did force her into that decision as well.

Yeah I can imagine the frustration of being locked up for 95% of your life like that, alongside the fact they were all powerless to stop the spirit and were admonishing her for wanting to prioritize learning from the only person that was able to actually deal with the threat (a threat she just had discovered was becoming a regular threat to her peoples ships at that, something no one told her about except for Unalaq. That would be a very frustrating situation for most people, no less a teenager with her personality and history.

Korra being able to use the avatar state with such ease makes sense to me. You have to remember that aang found out he was the avatar and ran away and got frozen in an iceberg almost the same day, he also never wanted to be the avatar and had no faith in himself as the avatar for a long time. Plus the whole of ATLA took place in a year time span, so in 1 year aang learnt 3 forms of bending and mastered the avatar state. On the flip side Korra has been trained her whole life to be the avatar and fully accepts and wants to be the avatar so it make sense that she would have an easier time going in and out of the avatar state after only 6 months of unlocking it. I've rewatched ATLA and Korra so many times over the years and ATLA for nostalgic reasons will always be #1 but season 2 of Korra is my stand out favorite season of all (and season 3 but i wont say more on that yet)

Season 2 is the worst season but it’s not that bad

Regarding the intro, Nickelodeon ordered a number of episodes all together that would ultimately become book 3 & 4. So it wasn't like book 1.

Aubrey Plaza plays Eska. Also, if you felt like you heard that voice before, you probably did. Multiple voice actors are in both shows. Dante Basco was Prince Zuko & General Iroh, Dee Bradley Baker is Appa & Momo & Tarrlok & Naga & Pabu, Daniel Dae Kim was General Fong & Hiroshi Sato, Clancy Brown was Long Feng & Yakone, and James Sie is the cabbage merchant & Lau Gan-Lan. There are 2 more you should be able to instantly recognize later on

Hi guys love your Korra reactions! but don’t know where else to ask this but when can we except BB ep 1 edited and also why was your final thoughts GOT video unlocked for Super Solider but now it’s locked again ?

Breaking Bad is supposed to replace GOT, so I assume that you can expect the reactions to start after they are finished with that.

I guess Sparta don’t realize everyone’s different korra was a prodigy, from the beginning and pickup things faster than most of the previous avatars

I think what you're forgetting is that Book 2 takes place 6 months after Book 1. Korra unlocked the Avatar state in the end of Book 1 through Aang's help, and then had 6 months to learn how to control it. She isn't a master of it yet but she does have control over it. Aang was able to go into the Avatar state from the first episode of ATLA so I think it's not really a fair criticism to have against Korra, who's always been a physical prodigy.
