Can't wait to see Raygun in this one!

Kate

I have so much shit to do, I was going to reward myself with this later...I'll do the other shit later. 😂 The opening conversation is hyping me up. I hope the movie brings out your love of dinosaurs. It does mine. 🙂

Steven

Wow I'm hype, this movie is a masterpiece and I am so glad I resubbed (for Hillhouse) yesterday to see this pop up!!

Steven

Muldoon (Safari/Park Ranger) is such an underrated gem in this movie. The clever girl scene is iconic, just accepts the nature of it all. Really just one of those movies that perfects practical effects, clever dialogue, plot, and complex characters with depth. Intelligent decisions and conflicts of interests, with lots of metaphors on real-world problems. I miss when movies were like this. Prior to everything being spoon fed to the audience because critical thinking and deeper themes has disappeared from mainstream cinema. Everything is about the spectacle and humanizing animals/monsters to be these deeper creatures with complex thoughts. The dinosaurs in this movie aren't villains, they aren't heroes, they are animals brought into a new world and acting as such.

Ondrej Izakovič

I love the whole trilogy, as for jurrasic world its not bad... visualy amazing, story is not bad.

Hefty517

Somehow don’t have this one on Blu Ray, or DvD. Have to bust out the VHS copy to watch along! Lol. Starting now, so excited!

Hannah Walker

Great reaction!! loved this film when I was little and it still holds up today! Well worth watching all the Jurassic Park/World films. They each have their charms and more variety of Dinosaurs 🦕 😁

John Neiberger

Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World is okay-ish. Jurassic Park 3 is pretty bad. The Jurassic World movies are okay, especially the first one.

crispy chicken

- Spartan's favorite dinosaur: the rhinoceros 😅 - I actually was pleasantly surprised about Pudgey's interest in dinosaurs. - Spartan as a T-Rex, and Pudgey as a Velociraptor nibbling at his toes. Now I want that as a fan art 😅 - Yeah, the "wonderous" feeling when they first saw the dinosaurs was the best part. It's the same with getting to know the worlds of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.

Ondrej Izakovič

Also did you notice Dr. Grant is played by same actor as ispector Cambel from Peaky bliders? :D

Oslo

Such a great movie and one of my favourite film scores ever. Honestly, without John Williams, Dinosaurs don't walk the Earth. Looking forward to watching this movie again with you!

CaleJTT

Personally I enjoyed all the movies.. the first movie was the best by far imo tho. Rhinoceros is also my fav dino. HAHA

Riolkin

This is THE film from my childhood. It came out the year I was born and I watched it repeatedly growing up. I also loved the second and third movies, the third featuring my favorite dinosaur of all time. I've rewatched them all as an adult and the following two movies are still pretty good movies but they definitely aren't perfect. The sequel trilogy follows a similar arc for me, I really enjoyed the first film (Jurassic World) and liked the other films well enough but felt a dip in story quality. Definitely worth watching the entire series. So funny that you guys picked the fan favorites as your favorite dinosaurs. Raptors and the T-Rex are definitely standouts in these films. Before the third film, I was always a big fan of Stegosaurus and Ankylosaurs because I thought the natural body armor and tail weapons were super cool. But the third film introduced a new dinosaur to my 8 year old self that still remains my favorite. Excited to see the rest of this series with you guys!

Danny

Ready Player One is also directed by Steven Spielberg

Kevin Bandy

Velociraptor her favorite. Nice. She's in for a treat, then.

Dónde está la biblioteca

I waited the whole movie for you guys to realize it is Inspector Campbell! I bet Grace would have a go with this version of him. lol

John Neiberger

Seeing Laura Dern reminds me that another must-watch movie for Spartan and Pudgey is October Sky.

Audra Muncy

I agree Insector Cambell will always be Dr Grant.

Spag

Pretty cool perspective to see folks who have barely heard of Spielberg running through his catalogue. Spielberg basically invented the summer blockbuster and is probably the most financially successful filmmaker ever. Crazy thing about this time period is he was still in post production on Jurassic Park (one of the biggest movies ever) while in Poland filming Schindlers List (one of the best movies ever). Quite a year or two stretch.

mjenkinsify

i personally like the other 2

Nate Terry

I remember being a little kid in the school library and coming across Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park. pretty advanced book for my age at the time. Once I was done and returned the book, I saw there was a sequel book on the shelf...during reading the sequel, I told my older sister's boyfriend about what i was reading and he informed me that his parents had the movies. I was like ".....movies?" lol. Jurassic Park is my favorite movie. I watch it once a year. The T Rex was clocked at 32mph, so once the jeep got over that, the T Rex gave up the chase....can't waste energy on something you can't catch. Steven Spielberg created this movie from the books and incorporated animatronic practical effects and CGI. the CGI he created was the beginning of all the CGI you see today in movies. before that, you had miniatures and claymation animation. Jurassic Park is the gateway to all movies today you see with CGI. animatronics were used for all up close shots of the dinosaurs. CGI only for full body and pulled back shots. the T Rex animatronic on set would malfunction constantly with the fake "rain" shots cause it wasn't water proof lol. Mr. Arnold (Samuel L. Jackson) did have a death scene scripted, but unfortunately for him, his death scene was one of the last scenes to be shot, and a tropical storm delayed and canceled his flight to Hawaii (where the movie was shot) so they couldn't film that scene....he had to have an off screen death. Spielberg directs this one and the sequel "The Lost World." then a new director takes over. He gives a different perspective on his movie in the 3rd one. that is what ppl don't like the most i think. It's funny, you can really tell when a movie sequel has a different director... I mean, I never tell ppl to not watch a sequel. it moves a story forward, even if it isn't ranked top tier. I enjoy the movies, even if this one is my favorite.

Stephen Patrick

Now imagine you’re ten and cgi wasn’t a thing yet and you saw that shit on a 30 ft screen 😎

mjenkinsify

the main actor is in peaky blinders...

SuddenImpulse

I very much support you guys watching Jurassic WORLD 1. I think based on what I know of you two and your reaction to this one that you would really love it, and it has some very good CGI that will let you really immerse yourselves in a way that will be somewhat limited with the classic Jurassic PARK films. Jurassic World 2 and 3 however I am not much of a fan of, but I guess you can see how you feel and the community feels after Jurassic World 1 if you are intrigued.

Kale

My parents watched this at a drive-in theatre when it came out, I was only a year and a bit old. During the T-rex breakout scene my mom was squeezing me so hard my dad had to intervene so I wasn't squished! I like to tell people I was ALMOST killed by a t-rex as a child ;)

Mike

There are a couple fun easter eggs in this movie. Ian Malcom, when they are going through the Jurassic Park gate on the tour, says something about what do they got in there, king kong? I believe, a King Kong movie was filmed just prior to this movie in which that gate was used. Also one of my favorite accidental metaphors in the movie is Grant in the helicopter. Him trying to put his seatbelt on, but having two female ends so it wouldn't work, but just like how all the dinosaurs were female in the park, life found a way with the frog DNA allowing spontaneous sex change in a single sex environment and Grant found a way to make his seat belt work. Still the funniest bit of this movie is the Raptor kitchen scene. When the raptor flings open the kitchen door, you can see someone put their arm out to stabilize the animatronic hahaha This is my all time favorite movie, always love watching it and getting to see peoples reactions to it. The 2nd movie I do really enjoy as well, not as much as the first, but I still love it. The 3rd is not my favorite if I'm honest. I am and forever will be Team Rexy. Still an ok movie that has parts I enjoy a good bit.

Super Novice

Jurassic park is an absolute classic. Lost world isn’t bad at all, JR 3 is enjoyable but not of the same calibre. The Jurassic world franchise is definitely less horror, more for a younger audience.

Levo

The 2nd is a guilty pleasure, dumb but fun and Jeff Goldblum is always great to watch. The 3rd I could never finish...

Pablo

Fun fact both this movie and the series Westworld (which i hope wins a poll some time in the near future) are based on two diferent novels by the same author so you can catch a lot of similarities between the two.

Ondrej Izakovič

Seeing you like this I think you would also like the monsterverse movies (godzilla, king kong)

Lyn Hurst

I used to have a huge crush on Jeff Goldblum. I love his wit, intellectuality, and he was/even still is handsome. Very sharp guy irl too.

Lyn Hurst

I loved your reactions. Nice to see Pudgey talking about Velociraptors before the movie knowing they would be a treat she would get to see. Despite the ways they thought they could engineer the DNA to fill in the gaps, there really are no guarantees with that. Not only did the dinosaurs find a way to breed, they also were getting sick as in the triceratops. Apparently, the plant research was not done well. The guy that played Nedry (as in Nerdy) played Neuman on Seinfeld. He really f*cked it up for everyone. Jeff Goldblum is one of my favorite actors (he played Malcolm - the Chaos Theory guy). He is such a witty actor and is brilliant but not up on himself irl. I kept waiting for you to recognize Ken (Inspector Campbell) as Alan. Lots of good actors in this. Steven Spielberg directed all sorts of genres of movies. He and Tom Hanks (who was in Saving Private Ryan) also direct Band of Brothers.

big harsher

time for my 7th rewatch 😭

Matt Flynn

I saw this in the theaters when I was 6. My dad decided it would be fun to sit me on his lap and scare the shit out of me for the second half of it. This is a classic. I have only seen 2 and 3 once. I remember not liking 2, but liking 3.

J_Fley .

The Lost World is plenty fine... 3rd one was pretty forgettable. Doctor Grant made me want to be a paleontologist as a 4-5 year old child that saw this for the first time in the mid 90s. I didn't become a paleontologist but I did study earth sciences. Kind of shaped my entire life, at least tangentially!

Slow Shadow

I really love the second one and third one was ok too. I actually would really love if you atleast watch the first Jurassic world because i love that one. 2 is ok and 3 is not that great 😂 they have a pattern i guess haha.

Lolilie

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's the perfect disaster film. And the effects. THE EFFECTS. It's amazing how well the effects hold up. It's because so many of the dinosaurs are in-camera animatronics, but even the CGI, which does look a little dodgy in the day-time scenes, is still very, very impressive. If you end up watching The Pacific, the actor who plays Tim is also in that series.

liam fritchley

The big guy who’s eating in the beginning is al from als toy barn in Toy Story 2

dieselbeast

One is great two I would skip, three is decent lol and btw TROY cough cough 😂 I'll always fight for that film it's Gold! I know it hasn't won polls but it has come in second I believe just sayin 🤷😁 continued success you two!

Lisa - Marie

the guy who played dennis was also in dirty dancing in comedic role, maybe know him from there. great reaction, i think once finished these 3 should do next 3 too as its a continuation not a remake just lot of time between jurassic park 3 and jurassic world but they have 'easter eggs' about original park in world which is great to find too.

Lyons

"Pudgey" never seen jurassic park never seen jurassic world. "Watched 20 seconds of jurassic world" typical fake reactors reply to having seen something.. yet she knows, very clearly.. triceratops and her favourite is velocitaptor. Yup how convenient.. this is the world we live in now apparently😆💀 the fact that people don't see through this blatent bs ks actually fascinating

Lyons

Imagine being "obsessed" with dinosaurs as a kid and then saying "I've never watched jurassic park/world movies" these guys🤣🤡 also, I imagine most of us, wasn't born in 93.. that's irrelevant. I was born way after.. still watched them all at some point. Do I remember them clearly? No. Doesn't mean I gotta blatantly LIE about never watching them. "I watched them once a long time ago" would suffice✌🏻

Lyons

Spartan " if your gonna be a pudgey and say something no one else says" do they? No one says that? How would you know? Considering they are probably the 2nd most popular dinosaurs🤡 also spartan "valociraptors are the little annoying ones aren't they?" Excuse me sir? You've never seen any of the jurassic films? How would you even begin to know this when that opinion is only formed through y'know.. WATCHING THE MOVIES. you are both literally clowns and you've made a career through top tier fucking bullshit. Fair fucks. You have a loyal echo chamber fanbase and it's hilarious to witness

Carley

I’m so late to these videos, but Jurassic Park 3 is my most watched and favorite, and to me the scariest one of the original 3. I really hope you like it can’t wait to see the series with y’all in its entirety! 🤩
