This is kinda why we recommend this. This show is just not horror. It really delves into some deep topics and they have written it very well. And personally i think it gets even better.

I really think this is one of the greatest written episodes of all time and saddest. Luke is my favourite character along with Nell and Y’all are right , Luke felt those symptoms bc nell’s body was going through Rigor Mortis which is such genius writing bc most people obviously think he’s using in the first episode from Steve’s perspective. I do understand why Steve is suspicious but I wish he would be nicer to Luke though he’s probably been through this a million times. I really like Steve as well cause I relate to him…I would be him in this situation and not really believe them about the Ghosts tbh , granted I would be nicer but I would truly think it’s mental illness bc I don’t believe in anything so unlike some people in this fandom , I completely understand Steve. Great reaction Btw.

Luke breaks my heart. I'm glad you caught on that Luke was feeling Nell's death. But guys, bodies get cold and stiff--it had nothing to do with Nell being in the morgue, just loss of body heat and rigor mortis. I didn't really catch it on a first watch, but I think Joey's betrayal is Luke experiencing what his siblings feel every time he betrays them. He says in his speech he hopes he never knows what that's like, but he does by the end of the episode. My mind is kind of blown by Pudgy having a twin. I was interested to see her perspective on Theo because of Theo's career (psychology, working with kids), but the twin thing is a different level of relating to the characters.

I get where Steve's coming from, but he's still kind of a dick. And I think that's deliberate in the way his character is written. His issues seem to have a lot to do with being the oldest and wanting to be a kind of protector and authority figure for his siblings, but when he can’t do that he basically abdicates responsibility and becomes the opposite of what he wants to be. Like writing the book, which was obviously so hurtful and exploitative.

Yea for sure , he’s written to be like that but unlike Shirley doesn’t act morally superior to everyone when it isn’t the case , that’s why I sympathise with him more and like I said I think most people would point to mental illness immediately and are kidding themselves if they think otherwise and yes writing the book was exploitative but at least he gave them a share when he technically did not have too, he obviously isn’t a great person but none of them are really except for the twins. He is flawed which is why I like him , makes him interesting. He isn’t my favourite tho , he’s probably like 3rd of 4th .

Ohhh the episodes get better and better, just wait! Luke's story is so heartbreaking, and in their own way every sibling is just trying to cope with their childhood trauma. I think that's why this show is so relatable and impactful. also, it's so cool that you're a twin pudgey, I always wished I was lol.

This episode was fantastic. Luke's story is so deep and his feeling Nell after she died is so sad. The addiction thing is so real. I had a friend relapse after 10 years of being clean. It is hard to watch. I am grateful I have stayed sober for 30 years (I stopped pretty young after my dad died from alcoholism) I am so glad to be here after what I have seen. So cool you are a twin Pudgey. I can see two little Pudgeys laughing together.
