Pudgey was right about the gates opening. I think Spartan's right about Papa saying "what have you done?" In reference to El removing 001's chip and letting him out because he knew that chip was the only thing keeping him from killing everyone there. My favorite episode of the series! Followed VERY CLOSELY by the finale. 🔥

At 47:01 A cool nugget, you can see that One is Vecna right here by how he has his hand positioned while killing that guy. It looks exactly how Vecnas does when he kills people.

Credit where it’s due: Pudgey was right about the gates and Spartan was right about the orderly being One… I think he seemed to guess that before P. And, yes, S.O.S is Morse code!

Something crazy i found out later now that you know who and what vecna is if you go back and watch the very first episode where Will is riding his bike down the road going to his house at night. When he sees the creature in the middle of the road and falls down its actually vecna and not a demigorgon you can tell from his more human like figure. So hes always been around O.o

That has been theorized, but when you think about it, it doesn't make sense: that day of the first episode is the day Eleven battles Henry Creel in the lab and sends him to the Upside Down. I doubt that the full form of Vecna was formed on the same day and he already had come back somehow.

No, the massacre at the lab happens in 1979 when El is very young; that’s when she sends Henry into the Upside Down. Then (after waking up with memories of the massacre blocked) she spends a few years by herself in the lab with Dr. Brenner who was experimenting with using her powers for Cold War spying (and maybe searching for Henry on the sly). During one of the experiments she encounters a demogorgon and in a burst of fear accidentally opens the first gate. That’s when ST starts: El escapes the lab (using the tunnel Henry showed her earlier) and Will goes missing… in 1983.

That makes sense I really only assumed that because when will falls I swear you can hear the clock sound but the silhouette could be a demegorgen standing very straight looking more human like.

Honestly not a fan of Steve and Nancy. Especially after he tells her what he sees for his life. He essentially wants a big family and a housewife and Nancy wants so much more than that. I think Jonathan understands her more in what she desires out of life and he wants to cultivate that for her, hence his huge dilemma because he doesn’t want to hold her back. The problem is they just literally DESTROYED Jonathan’s character this season and really didn’t give him any important screen time. And they just didn’t give Jonathan and Nancy the couple time they needed. I honestly think it would be stupid if she went from Steve, to Jonathan, back to Steve. That also kills her character development a bit as well as Steve’s. Honestly I could see them having her be alone at the end of next season just being by herself trying to kill it in her own way. I’m hoping not, and the keep Jonathan and her together because especially after rewatching the seasons with my husband I just think he’s the better one for her, knows her better, understands her better, and has a deeper connection. That was one thing that really annoyed me about this season was them trying to push Nancy and Steve down our throats

When you rewatch the scenes where we first meet 1 in the rainbow room, notice that his opening line is something along the lines of “look who decided to join us” - compare that to Vecna telling his victims to join him. Excellent clue! Also Spartan definitely doubted Pudgey the first time she said he might be 1 - i just watched it yesterday 😂

Pudgey called him being 001 in episode 6. Nobody I’ve watched though has picked up that in episode 1 when Brenner walks in & says ‘what have you done?’ to El that there’s a vertical crack in the wall behind El. I was sure from the start that she was innocent & had sent something through, despite the misdirection that she was the killer.
