“ Let me take the lead.” I said aloud to the two infront of me.

Clarke and Wells turned to me with a raised eyebrow.

“ I can track, I have a better chance at finding this kid if I lead.” I told them taking the front.

“ Where did you learn how to track?” Asked Clarke walking besides me followed by Wells behind me.

“ The forbidden sections of the ark have some interesting hidden compartments, in one of them I found a book on wildlife survival and a bunch of others.” I told them partly lying.“ So with nothing else to do I read through everything over and over, so now I'm just following what I know.”

“ Oh.” She said the quieted down.

We walked for some distance following Clarke's directions to where last they saw Jasper.

“ Hey, hold up.” Bellamy called out causing us to stop and look back to him, he had his gun drawn but wasn't pointing at us, already I had a knife hidden on my hand.

“ What's the rush? You don't survive a spear through the heart you know.” Bellamy said shaking his gun around.

“ Put the gun away bellamy.” Wells said walking infront of Clarke but was pushed aside by Murphy.

“ Why don't you do something about it?” Murphy said looking at Wells ready for a fight, probably still sulking over the fact that Wells had beat him before this.

“ Jasper screamed when they moved him, if the spear struck his heart he would have died instantly.” Clarke told them.“ But that doesn't mean we have time to waste.”

And with that Clarke made way to continue walking but Bellamy grabbed her arm which had the ark wristbands. “ As soon as you take this wristband off, we can go.”

As soon as he said that I was besides him with a knives to his neck having capitalised his blindspot to move within his range.

“ Yeah, I don't think so, now let her go if you don't want to be choking on your own blood.” I said with a tone of finality looking at him straight in his eyes and just as he was about to raise his gun I slightly pierced his throat enough to draw a bit of blood but nothing else.

“ I dare you Bellamy, try me.” I said that with the most venom as I could and probably seeing that I wasn't bluffing he let Clarke's hand go and out his hands up in a sign of defeat.

Smirking at that I took my knife off his neck and looked to a close distance hearing someone walking towards us.

“ Someone's coming.” I said and like that Bellamy had his gun drawn and pointed towards where I was looking.

I too had my throwing knives at the ready on both my hands.

As soon as the person walked out of the foliage we breathed in a sigh of relief seeing that it was Finn.

“ Wait it's me!” Screamed out Finn seeing Bellamy pointing a gun towards him.

Capitalising on that I suddenly had an idea.

“ Okay then, it seems that our rescue group has expanded so, let's split up, we'll cover more ground that way.“ I said and I could see Finn's gears spinning before he looked at Clarke and was about to say something but I beat him to it.

“ I'll go with Clarke, Wells will go with Finn and Bellamy is gonna be with Murphy, any objections?” I said knowing that there would but seeing Clarke having no problem with that I internally smirked.

“ What, why are you gonna go with Clarke?, we don't know you enough to leave her with you!.” Shouted Wells.

“ Yeah well, like it or not I'm the best at what I do and will probably find Jasper faster and when I do I'll need her to treat him seeing as her mother was a doctor I'm guessing she picked up a thing or two, right?” I said looking at Clarke who nodded at my last question.

“ Also if there is a grounder near Jasper I'm the best she's gonna get at protection.” I said with a shrugg pointing at my weopons.

“ And how do we know you can even use those?” Asked Finn not wanting me to steal his girl probably.

“ That deer at camp is all the proof you need, so let's not waste any time and go.” I said before walking off infront and then pausing as I looked back at Clarke.

“ You coming?”

“ Oh yeah, sure.” She said before looking back at Wells and Finn before she followed me.

We kept a wide distance from the others, not enough that we couldn't see them though, just enough that we covered more ground.

So as we made ourselves down a downward position I had started making conversation to Clarke, asking her about what happened before they had been attacked and after.

“ So you're saying that they attacked as soon as Jasper crossed the river?” I asked still keeping track of my surroundings for any discrepancy.

“ Yeah, it's as if they waited for us to cross or something.” She said deep in her thoughts.

“ Maybe and this is just a theory but what if the river is a boundary of some sorts?” I told her causing her to pause.

“ That makes a lot of sense, they had waited all that time and probably could have killed us but only attacked when we crossed.” She said reaching an epiphany.

“ Which is bad for us.” I said as we neared a river.

“ Why?” She asked not understanding what I meant.

“ If we can't cross then that means we can't reach mount weather and the supplies in it.” I told her as she topped and looked at me frowning.

“ Then what are we gonna do for the needed supplies, what are we gonna do for food?” She asked looking distraught.

Smiling at her I put my hand on her shoulder trying to calm her, and luckily she didn't flinch at my touch and looked at me having calmed down a bit.

“ Well, the forest is filled with a lot of animals, I don't mind going out hunting until we find something.” I told her garnering a grateful smile.

“ Thank you.... it just hit me, I don't know your name.” She said looking curiously at me.

“ Oh yeah, I guess you're right. I'm Ezekiel, Ezekiel Sinclair.” I told her before looking down the mountain slope and finding water cascading down the rocks.

Walking towards it alongside Clarke I let her bask in the beauty of it as I looked around trying to find something.

“ Wow...” Murmured Clarke. “ At least we won't have to worry about water now.” She said looking at me with a smile.

“ Yeah but carrying it will be a bitch.” I told her garnering a chuckle from her before I spotted something off at the other side of the shallow river.

I let Clarke take out a water container from her bag as she poured some inside it and then put it on her bag again.

“ I think I just found a track....” I said quietly just for Clarke to hear me before walking to the other side of the river, and there on some rocks was blood which hadn't dried yet.

“ Oh my god...” Clarke muttered under her breath as she kneeled down and grabbed goggles that were hidden behind a rock.

“ Jasper, he was here....”

“ I'll call for the others.” I told her.
