Finishing the third scene for Yorna, waiting for the art to arrive so I can put it inside the game. Guess I’ll need to add a pair of cutscenes with monster girls so the report wouldn‘t look so dry on Yorna’s part.

H scenes 2 / 3

As for the new project, I’m still working on Live2d’s SDK v3 to use all the functions from the new version. The progress is around 2/3 from complete success if we don’t count some hidden problems which may appear. You never know with these…

This week I managed to use the new SDK to properly show models inside RPG Maker MV and play animations without glitches. This is already great yet there are some issues - showing several models and playing different animations on them. The current plugin allows only 1 animated object active at any point of time. While this may cover the H scene department, I want to try and see if I can make animated dialogue scenes too.

The second big point is playing slightly different animations within a cycle, so they won’t look exactly the same + this opens up new options for H sound syncing with the action. Again, not critical but can improve the quality if done right.

Also, checked several plugins for customazible gear and weapons. After a bit of polishing and expanding these will do nicely to support planned custom equipment with several game features like implants and crafting.

As a rough estimate, I’ll need about a week to finish integrating Live2d’s SDK v3 into the mock-up project. From this point, I can start working with artists to gradually shift their time to animated H material. Depending on how smoothly the process will go, we may produce the first prototype by next month’s EX release. No promises though. It’s quite tricky.
