Hello. First iteration of Succulence 2 alpha is out for a few days, so it's a good time to learn about your opinions on the new look and the interface, and overall impressions.

Here's some leading questions that I'm interested to hear about:
- Was Serena's movement too fast/too slow?
- Should Interactive Wardrobe be simplified for faster dressing?
- Is improvised quest log good enough?

Also here's a poll about the overall quality of UI: How would you describe it?

maybe the wardrobe could be simplified to be faster but in general its as good as it gets keep it up!!

Honestly the only thing I disliked were the hotkeys, besides that everything was good for an Alpha version

Yeah, I agree with Jagry. The hotkeys were a bit too spread out. They would make sense if we control Serena with WASD. I like the different layers of the wardrobe, but I can also see it becoming quite cluttered when more outfits get introduced. Other than that, I am fine with everything else. Oh, and the scrapped title screen looks cool, I find.

I haven't tried it but two things that I hate about RPGM games are slow run speeds and lack of a quest log.

Hmm. Switching movement keys to WASD shouldn't be too hard. I could also look into adding key bindings to the options menu, but it's not guaranteed that it will work.

1) The ideas are fine, but yeah, implementation needs to be polished up, right now there are some bugs. 2) Dressing - I like the display, but I don't know about the implementation. For example, I'd like a clear indication of what I'm wearing right now, like in 1. Currently if I choose the outfit now, I'm not sure if I put on bra/panties as well. I also want to know what I'm wearing when I get to the screen, instead of clicking undress all or guessing from the image. 3) If you put on sleepwear, you undress on bra/panties. If you select grey suit again, you'd be without anything. So maybe find a way to differentiate the two, or display the un-equipping. 3 ) A preset configuration - don't know how it is for code - but I want the option to choose the clothes, save them as a default config/ and load the same outfit again.

- I thought Serena's movement speed was fine. - I agree with Asphaltus with being able to save pre-set configurations. I think the idea of having the dressing/undressing poses is good, but there's a lack of clarity of what you're actually wearing. Having a small menu to the side that says what you're wearing would go a long way in making it better. If you know what the clothing options are, it doesn't take significantly longer to get dressed than Succulence 1, and that's a sacrifice I'd be willing to take for the poses. They're very erotic, and just because there's no actual sex happening in those images that doesn't make them any worse (for me at least). - I'm not sure what to think of the Quest Log right now. There wasn't enough to do in the alpha to determine if it was helpful enough, but I'm leaning towards it being good enough. If you're looking at the quest log, you don't want too much information given away. If you just want to know what to do you look at a walkthough, not the in-game quest log. - I think the decision to make Serena more sexually comfortable from the beginning is a great idea. I don't think it would make sense for her character to still be a prude after the events of Succulence 1. - I really like the side characters, from what little we saw, and should give good variety to sex scenes. - I don't know if this is a limitation of the demo, but I don't like the idea of work being limited to the outfit you're wearing. I would much prefer being able to select what work Serena does no matter what she's wearing.

Okay, make wardrobe faster and add indicators of what Serena's currenty wearing, and show when and item gets unequipped. That seems doable, don't know about the outfit presets though. It seems possible, but I need to experiment with the idea first to say for sure. I do agree about keeping the quest log a little big ambiguous, but yeah, it's usefulness will be tested when there's more to do in the game. Serena is much more comfortable with herself than in the old game, but there will still be room to grow :)

That does sound interesting. I could also try to make an unlockable title screens that pop up once you've unlocked something in the game(like hidden evil route).

Here's some more points I thought of - 1) Why is the phone ui separate from the other fast travel, quest ui? Its better imo to have a single ui, rather than separating it between phone and other hotkey menus. 2) The hotkeys are rather clunky at the moment. I'd want the option of opening the ui through a single key (like Q) and maybe tabbing through the different ui screens with wasd or arrow keys. and the option should be available for hotkeys also - eg I open the fast travel menu by mistake, i should be able to shift over to quests rather than closing and opening again. 3) I can't check now - but the settings for the game was buried under two button presses, bundled along with appearances. It seemed weird to me - settings for the game should always be available a single click away, so i can check what is going on. the grouping of menus in the phone is a bit odd - I'll make another post once I check the game.

Hmm. I guess it's a matter of preference. When I open a journal or whatever in a game and close it, I don't like it when it takes me to a different menu that I also need to close to get to a game. But I suppose since it's still an alpha I can make different menu setups and put it to a vote to see which one is preferred. Also, options menu is available in the phone right away if you're using the mouse layout. Keyboard layout is more compressed, but I can try to rearrange it to make options available right away, sure.

The game was created with the idea of playing it in fullscreen in mind, but you can manually adjust the size of the window with your mouse(place the cursor on the edge and the arrow should appear). Adding a button to show/hide the UI manually is a good idea. Also I'll work on improving the mouse controls.

I think her movement is a bit too fast and the animation of her walk towards the camera could be improved as her knees don't rise while she walks. I hope you will have fantasy elements and a good story in this. Just playing hot women that tease and get laid is boring unless they're on a cool mission as in Succulence 1. I assume that you have a good story planned anyway. Keep up the good work. 👍

I like that the daily up-skirt part will remain, I really like that from the first. The sprite has really red hair compared to any other time you see the character so it is like two different people.
