Update (Patreon)

Hey guys, just keeping you informed on what I'm up to. I've been quiet since my last journal but that's mostly because I've been working on stuff behind the scenes and not because of bad moods.  I just haven't fully finished anything worth sharing yet. I've written a profile for one girl in the upcoming story, half written another, and am working on a big list of purchaseable skills. The skills are really kicking my ass because I want to have as many as possible mapped out before even starting the story, that way I can save the hassle of having to come up with ones on the spot. It'll improve the flow if I can setup situations where he'll need a skill to progress and I can plan ahead, if you get me.

My friend Urban also built me some Google Sheets so I can track things like affection meter, Oliver's stats, the passage of time, and so on. They all came out really nice. I've also done a little messing around in Koikatsu to design some of the girls, but not too much. Will share those with profile stuff when it's time.

Overall, I'm approaching this story idea casually like I said I would and seeing what comes from it. That's helped me mood a lot, I think, and It's coming along nicely. I feel less pressured and the subject matter isn't dragging me down.

I haven't decided if I'm doing this story via webnovel or amazon release yet, but I'm leading towards webnovel and then amazon release to build a bigger readership. I'll do it differently than I was going to with Clouded Soul, though. As I build up the patreon vault, I'll have everything posted be at the $1 tier. Not having people reading what I was working on was a big hit to motivation so I'll only lock off chapters once we have the full amount.
