3 Years Law (Patreon)

Before shrunken human rights organizations were founded and widely accepted, more and more countries embraced the “3 Years Law”.

It was simple, every shrunken being has 3 years to be saved and the authorities will do the bare minimum to support families who want their loved ones back.

When 3 years pass - they are presumed property, and even if found they do not count as citizens or human beings anymore, they are property for their owners and there is no legal way to get them back.

Even if somehow saved - the government won’t subsidize the cure, it will be up to you or the ones who saved you to pay fully for it, and we are talking about the days where the cure cost around 50k USD, so even when saved most people stayed shrunken and traumatized by the time they were enslaved.

So slave owners just kept their slaves a secret for 3 years and then just casually posted in social media photos and videos with them, just like they were any other piece of property they own.

It took a lot of time for SLM to establish and change those laws, but they kept changing with every government and there were even times in the USA when shrunken people were immediately presumed property under the rule of President Tiffany, those were the worst times to catch the shrinking virus.
