BIG CHANGES COMING IN 2023 (Patreon)

Hello everyone! We hope you're enjoying the holiday season =)

We have a big announcement to make regarding changes being made to Fact Fiend and the Untitled Side Channel from the start of 2023. If you're interested in the full breakdown of these changes, read on. Otherwise, skip to the end for the TL:DR. We know time is precious.

From January 1st 2023, Karl will be taking over the editing duties for Fact Fiend. The videos will be much simpler visually but will still be the same great content with the same voices joining him behind the camera (plus maybe a few new ones). Karl hopes that by taking over the Fact Fiend side of the editing Nisha, Lucas and I will have the time we need to work on our own projects - starting with the Untitled Side Channel.

Initially, the Untitled Side Channel was created as a subsidiary of Fact Fiend so that we could all branch out creatively and work on other genres/styles of video. We're now hoping to take that to the next level by treating the side channel not as second fiddle to Fact Fiend but rather as its own thing. We believe the content we make on that channel has the potential to be something more than just a side project so we will be viewing it as such going forwards.

To go along with this new mentality, we will be rebranding the Untitled Side Channel a little to reflect its independence. The channel will now have a loose theme of "friends hanging out at the bar and having fun together" and will be renamed to the USC. As it has been so far, this channel will not be monetised through YouTube and will be fully supported by all of you here on Patreon.

Over the coming months, we will be upgrading this Patreon to give people more for their patronage. We'll be contributing even more bonus and behind-the-scenes content. Additional tiers will be added to our page with many new rewards. We will also be setting some genuine goals that we hope to reach over the coming months that will bring with them even more content.

Watch this space over the next few days as we will be gradually making changes in preparation for the new year. Once our new tiers have been created, you can take a look and decide what rewards you're interested in receiving.

We can't thank everyone enough for lending support during this transition period. Above everything else, all of us love making videos and entertaining people and everything we do is to try and continue doing this. Without all of you, Fact Fiend would have struggled so much more and the USC wouldn't even be possible.
