Didn't think I would have a third thing to add, and yet, living next to a park and a pub means that at all hours I hear something going on. Today was at 3am, a group are making their way up the road when one loudly says "shut up" to which another said "ill smack you with a swan" yet another voice proclaimed that "all swans belong to the queen" to which voice two said "not anymore, ill get two and beat you with swan nunchucks" they walked too far for me to hear any more but a wave of laughter tells me there was something funny said

Kind of? When I was a teenager here in Taiwan, my grandfather got us a taxi to go somewhere. My grandfather was a college professor. Something on the radio came on and the taxi driver asked my grandfather a question. This became a pretty good and civil intellectual debate/conversation about public policies littered with historical examples. It was at that moment that I thought to myself "Why do isn't it like this everywhere? Why isn't it that every plumber, garbage man, etc. can have a good, well informed debate and conversation about hard and complex topics close to the level of a professor? It really changed my perspective on people, professions and education.
