Oh OP is as dark as AOT, but told in very different way. Both are top of their genres tho

🤗❤️❤️ AOT is insane, right? 😂 The polar opposite of OP. BUT if you want to compare the 2, both are about the definition of freedom. OP being optimistic & AOT is pessimistic, however both follow an ideology of fighting and/or pursuing “freedom” based on the protagonists’ beliefs. There’s a lot in AOT that doesn’t make sense NOW, but it all comes together by the end of the series. Its mysteries are famous for leaving you w/ questions that spawn more questions. But there’s more purpose & foreshadowing than you realize, like OP. Many AOT fans who finished the series are rewatching to see clues they missed from the beginning. Also, comparing titans to zombies makes sense… but “what are titans?” is one of the fun mysteries of the show. 😉 P.S. AOT is filled w/ European influences. Sorta SPOILER: Mikasa isn’t “European” nor Eren’s sister—it’ll be explained in S1. Also, the eye catchers in AOT have additional info on titans, technology, culture, economy, etc.

Wow, Heather you are awesome!😆 IT’s explanations like that, which let us know we are in good hands! You have a way of just putting it so eloquently!☺️☺️❤️❤️ We are gonna add a few more to the mix and see which ones stick! Hope you and J, and family are having a wonderful week!❤️❤️

devanclan

Interesting! We are very curious to see where it’s going! It just seems so much darker! But I know we are gonna love it!😉😉

devanclan

NO WAY!!!! Skyeluna! We love you! and always get excited when we see your comments on YouTube! thank you!😄😄 That is absolutely awesome having you here on patreon! We’re so glad you let us know who you are! That’s so exciting!😊😊❤️❤️ Hope you are having a wonderful week!

We’re great! Just started Thanksgiving break. 😆 Hoping the DeVan Clan has a wonderful holiday too!! ❤️❤️ Starting AOT is like whiplash after only seeing OP. 😂 Anyway to help ease the transition, I’m sure myself & other nakama will jump in. Can’t wait to see what other anime you try! 👀 Maybe Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood? That’s very dark like AOT & funny like OP.

In which tier can I watch the reactions without cut?):

devanclan

Sorry this first reaction to AOT 1-2 got messed up and had the ending cut out of part 1? We don’t know how that happened 😆😆 The second cut we released was more of the YouTube cut but has the ending from part 1 in there! YouTube won’t get that until tonight But AOT 3-4 will be uncut for the most part as usual for all tiers!🙌🏼🙌🏼☺️❤️

devanclan

Awesome!!! Okay a little inside info! I think we just might be dropping a reaction of JJK along with Fullmetal Alchemist next week! Just sayin!😉😉 Happy thanksgiving 🍁🍽🦃

Ben

New here, attack on titan definitely subbed is better, death note a lot of people think dubbed is better, and naruto/one piece are also good, but you have to get used to the voices and they are also super nostalgic for a lot of people

Sikk Karuzo

Hey how about a full version for the next Episodeds? :) If you are scared of copyright a timer based reaction would be good. You just show the first like 20 seconds so we can sync our own footage. :)

devanclan

We r on it!!! You can see the fist AOT we uploaded is way more uncut! (same episodes) Thanks for your patience with us as we navigate our journey ☺️☺️😍😍

2023-11-24 08:25:10 Yeah, the contrast between AoT and OP is pretty extreme! You really dove directly into the deep end with this one, it pulls no punches. And it kind of starts off already with everything turned up to eleven, lol. I love AoT, but it's also A Lot. It's also technically (terrifyingly) aimed at the same target audience as One Piece (it was serialised in a magazine called Bessatsu Shōnen that's aimed at boys aged 8-12, just like One Piece is serialised in Weekly Shōnen Jump), which just tells you that the signifier "shōnen" isn't really that specific of a category (and don't let anyone try to tell you that shōnen is a genre). Despite that, I actually think that at the core, it has some things in common with One Piece when it comes to the themes. It's just much darker in tone, and the main characters are a lot less powerful and can't deal with the threats without heavy, heavy losses. The story will take a lot of turns along the way, and there will be a lot of mysteries and unknown things throughout. A lot of the time it's hard to know what's going on, because everything feels as if it always starts in media res, with so much information not given until much later. And usually you don't get a lot of it at once either. My advide is to not try and anticipate what's going to happen, or what's supposed to happen, because that might make things even more confusing, lol. It will be fun to follow along with this one too, and it's a good opportunity to reread the manga for me! I love Isayama's drawings, they're so raw and expressive. Not always technically perfect, especially in the beginning, but he knows how to draw and compose compelling images, no doubt about it. He's up there with the best in those aspects, IMO.
