Okay, now we get to the fun part. This is where all my painting skills are tested to the limit. I started this at about 7:30 am or so and did screen shots as I went along. I think they are in order.

The other cool thing about clip studio is how I can get brushes that mimic pixelation. On the zoomed in shots, you can see this boat has probably already been photographically manipulated or at least enhanced because there is some ugly pixelation as well as some blurring.

By using particular brushes, my favorite being a freckle brush (no I'm not kidding) I can re-create the uneven color transitions created in a digital shot after I overpaying what I want to get rid of. Here I have gone in and removed a lot of unsightly details, ropes, equipment, that damn wench and even the giant sail container that was attached to the side. At least I think that's where they stored the sails, might be something to do with the mast. Either way, it's gone and I have relaid all the wood flooring and smoothed out the details of the cabin. I still have to work on the roof. But I lengthened the patches of sunlight and moved and added some to the existing spots for when I move the sun.

Now comes the second hard part. I've got that cabin all prettied up, but there is no fiberglass on Morgan's boat. It's all wood. So you guessed it, now I gotta transform that cabin into wood. I will also be doing the same to the hull of the boat.

Again, a sane person would just let these silly details slide. But for me, it's something that bothers me so I have to have it as close to what it's supposed to be as possible.

I'll screenshot my wood method, which I will probably add texture to the deck as well so that it matches the rest.

P.s.

Some would have handled this with the clone tool. I personally do not like to do that because I can see the pattern and I find it distracting. So I paint over what I need to get rid of.
