In my time trying to learn how to use Photoshop and Clipstudio I have learned that many--if not most--cover artists are very secretive about their techniques. I'm not sure why, because no two people can do the same thing and it's like drawing the same building someone else did, it's always going to be different.

IOW, I'm not at all secretive so if anyone ever wants to know how to do something, or if you have a cover artist who wants to know how to do something, I'm an open book, as they say.

One other thing. Most cover artists limit themselves to photoshop and other powerful editors. However, clip studio has hands down, the most diverse and free source of brushes. The blend tool is decades ahead of what photoshop has, and of course it has my favorite detail, a stabilizer that will take the shake out of a hand when drawing lines etc. The fill tool is also far above photoshop and very diverse.

I recommend this program for any artist who wants to paint, draw, or meticulously alter a photo to what they need. It is however limited on special effects, although it has the same local capabilities such as darken, glow, color dodge, screen, etc. The actual color manipulation in photoshop reigns supreme on that.
