My finished guy with his hand neatly cropped. The following is a tad hard to follow but basically I had to make multiple copies with different color schemes. 

This is also where I did the hair. I don't have a shot of this but I zoomed in at about 500 times and with a single pixel pen brush drew in the hair and changed the color from the base. When just doing color change with photoshop you get your color change, but in my opinion, you don't acquire surrounding colors which makes a person seem naturally in the setting, reflecting the colors of the boat, the sky, and water.

Basically, cleaning up edges on a model and adjusting the spectrum is the easy part. At least for me. The hard part comes when you have to add in something like freckles, highlights, reflections, etc, on the actual model to blend into their skin tones without losing the texture.
