Pandora teaser (Patreon)

I've been working on Pandora too btw.  Here's a tidbit--unedited.

Pandora stared at their only chance at getting out of there were it lay destroyed. The hopelessness curled into anger and he shoved Ishtar. He yelped in surprise as he stumbled back and hit the ground.

“You idiot.” Pandora picked up the chair and threw it. 

Ishtar raised up his arms just in time to deflect it. It crashed to the ground beside the computer. The look of shock on Ishtar's face morphed into a feral madness. He sprang to his feet. Pandora held his ground and the Titan loomed over him. 

“You're not going anywhere until I get what I want.”

“You don't even know what you want.” Pandora shoved Ishtar again but he was ready and barely took a step back. 

“Yes I do. I want that fire. No one will dare imprison me with that. No one could.”

“And then what? What are you going to do? Rain hell down on everyone?”

Ishtar grinned. “Maybe I will. Maybe I'll erase everything out there on that piece of dirt.”

“Kill everything? Everyone?”

“At least until I get bored.”

Pandora's exhale shuddered. He didn't stand a chance against this Titan but it didn't stop the words from spilling out. “You know what? You're every bit of the monster the goddess think you are.”

Ishtar lunged forward and Pandora went back until the wall of glass stopped him. The cold from outside pressed against his skin while Ishtar trapped him in boiling heat with his arms on either side of Pandora. 

Ishtar leaned closer. “Maybe I want to be the monster? Maybe I like being a monster.”

Pandora tried to push him back. “Then I hope your mother locks you back up in that hole in the ground and you never get out.” A sob lodged in Pandora's chest. 

Ishtar's grin fell and his gaze cooled. He tipped his head brushing his lips against Pandora's. A shiver followed Ishtar's exhale. “When I claim what's mine, your precious Sanctuary will be the first thing I burn to ash. And I'll make you watch while it happens.” And Ishtar's tone left no doubt that he'd do exactly what he promised.
