Hello everyone! :)
Hope you all had a wonderful April, and here's to an even better time in May! It's the weekend, so go and enjoy yourselves, chill, relax, do something nice for yourself. :)

I wanted to put up a note to thank everyone for all the lovely messages and support for the project as of last month, we've been working hard - and there's some work in progress footage to share with you all for now until we get to push an update preview next week!

ART

As mentioned previously in the roadmap, we're working to get new models in a fresh new style, for both characters and environments! This next update won't include the new map and character just yet, some work is required to get the muscles to look delicious when it comes to the characters posing and moving. We'd like to give that nice detail of muscles flexing / stretching, and so on! :)

Next post shall feature a new pair of hands based on what's mentioned in the roadmap for BoofVR previously too!

INTERACTION FEATURES (VR)

We've dive into getting the player hands to be able to collide and stay on surfaces of characters and the world around you! This is a first pass of that feature, and you'll be able to see that your fingers will wrap around on the surface of characters and objects as so:

AUDIO

Audio test for giving head! We aim to get this in for update v0.6 or so, currently it's requiring a bit more work and better audio samples for later, but yes - adding that depth when you service them. ;)

Other Notes

I've been thinking about this for a while now, but definitely would love to start compiling patron names to credit for all your wonderful support for the project! This'll be done down the road since we've got quite a bit to work on first in terms of gameplay and game assets, but otherwise, I'd love to show my gratitude and include your name for making all this possible. We'll go over this again later on :)

The first pass on the player hands collision feature looks rather wonderful! I've been really impressed with the Oculus Quest's hand tracking feature, and the possibility of playing with boofs without needing a controller is pretty exciting. I wasn't expecting the final feature in this preview. That's... certainly something (〃ω〃)

Nothing for May or June, I know it's just a buck but I feel like it's really not worth it if nothing is happening. Best of luck with your project.
