DevLog #94: February 2024 (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone! This month celebrates the 8th anniversary of my studio, neko.works, which was founded in February 2016 😋
Light Fairytale Episode 2
The PS4 physical edition is now available through publisher Red Art Games and shipping worldwide:

Super Night Riders S1
This month, as intended, I focused mainly on designing various stages.
Here's the new Valley stage, inspired by the classic 80s TV show Knight Rider.
Work-in-progress Forest and Hanami stages.
Animated GIF showcasing the Canyon stage.
Added new display settings, such as UI size adjustment, forced aspect ratios, chromatic aberration, and authentic scanlines.
These options will be rolled out across all my games in future updates 😉
Now, here's SNRS1 running natively on my Steam Deck OLED with a Linux build.
It looks amazing, performs smoothly, and plays wonderfully 😊
Work-in-progress Anime 3D model of the mysterious girl from the Light Fairytale series, who will be a bonus playable character in SNRS1 😁
Night Riders
The original game launched in July 2013 on Android has now surpassed 100k installs, with 20k active players 🙀
While it's game jam quality, it's free and not monetized.
So, if you're interested in exploring the series' humble beginnings, go ahead and give it a try:
Bonus
Enjoy these 4K+ wallpapers featuring backgrounds from the opening anime of Super Night Riders S1, which is still in production.
What's Next
This month, I haven't made much progress on Light Fairytale Episode 3, and I apologize for that.
I've chosen to prioritize Super Night Riders S1 until its release, which is coming up soon.
In the next month, I'll dive into the level design for the various stages. Even though they're based on the original 2016 release, they've been extended to twice their length, with a sub-checkpoint in the middle.
I've previously mentioned that I would update you once I had a more definite idea about the release schedule. I'm happy to share that Super Night Riders S1 is targeted for a Steam Early Access release in April 2024 😁
That's all for now!
Thank you, as always, for your continuous support and patience.
Looking forward to sharing more updates soon 😊
