Studio's Life

I've opened a (very) small blog on neko.works where I plan to talk about my projects, but also about the things I like.

Here's one post example: A selection of the best fanarts from the Light Fairytale series: neko.works/index.php?article=52

Light Fairytale Episode 3

Still working on the first dungeon: The Facility.

Vending machines 😁

The main puzzle in this dungeon: Opening the elevator door.

Deja vu? 🤕

Angel?!

Kuroko's explosive return 😁

Work have started for the key artwork of this episode. It will be used as the cover of the game.

Here's a couple drafts. I've selected the left one.

A couple female NPC designs for the Capital. The 3D models are in the work.

Bonus

A couple auto-fanart of Kuroko and the mysterious girl from the Light Fairytale series in a semi-realistic style.

Available in 4K in the downloads bellow.

Dark Fairytale

Here's the final 3D models of Rachel and her Doll. The female protagonist in Dark Fairytale - a story-driven action / shoot'em up set in a dark steampunk world. Currently still in concept / prototype stage.

Also available in 4K in the downloads bellow.

What's Next

Next month I'll turn 40 😅

Other than this trivial thing, I'll focus on Light Fairytale Episode 3.

Working again on these first 45mn trying to finalize this part, as it's missing a few events and battles.

I should receive the final key artwork, so I'll publish the Steam page to start gathering wishlists.

I also would like to make a teaser trailer, but I'm waiting for the finalization of a new Anime cut - so maybe in November/December.

That's it for this month!

Thank you so much for your support. See you next time 😊

Okay, the 'turning 40 next month' part caught me by surprise! :D it doesn't really mean anything, as you said, but for whatever reason I had a totally different age in my head xD Not really criticism, just out of curiosity: why not wait until every episode is out before releasing a physical version?

Feeling old 😭 Yep, I've been making games since around 9 years. Unfortunately I've lost a lot of time in the past studying things I shouldn't have - for instance medical studies for 2 years. I've also worked as a web developer in Paris. About the physical, I think it's better this way. It's true that Episode 1 is a bit pricey due to the artbook and soundtrack. But we're now planning Episode 2 in a standard edition at $20. Releasing the whole series - 4 episodes in a single physical doesn't make sense in term of pricing as the digital equivalent is $40 - without the production cost and publisher part - so it would get too expensive. Also, I think it's better for collectors as each episode have a nice exclusive cover etc.
