Light Fairytale Episode 3

Development is progressing well, as I can finally focus on Episode 3 now that all the updates and ports of Episode 1 & 2 are done 😋

I've updated my planning for Episode 3 and now think that I can release it on Steam Early Access in Q3 2023 - probably in September!

Currently the first 20-25 minutes are playable - mostly cutscenes and optional NPC talks.

I'm now working on the first dungeon - The Pillar Facility - where a very important event will occur 😉

Sorry again for censoring the mysterious girl's name 😅

This green savepoint-like thing is a healing point. Just walk on it and the full party will be healed (HP & MP) for free!

Music

I now have 3 new music tracks for Episode 3: New dungeon, town and battle BGMs, and I think they sounds great 😊

I'm planning for more of course - not sure how much though, as of now.

Anime

Here's the final cut for Saki's Anime mentioned in the previous DevLog.

I'm planning 2 more Anime cuts for Episode 3 - now working on the 2nd one that should be completed by the end of the year.

Bonus

Which brings us to the monthly 4K wallpaper - 3 wallpapers this time 😁

Available to download in full-resolution in the attachments bellow.

What's Next

Next month, I plan on completing the first dungeon - for around 15-20 more minutes of gameplay and events.

I'll also try to work on Super Night Riders S1 a bit on the side.

As this is just a remake in term of content, I should be able to complete it within next year - even working on it occasionally.

I wonder if I could launch both games on Steam Early Access at the same time in September 2023 😅

Actually this sounds like a good idea, as cross promotion would help both games 😉

And that's it for this month!

Again, thank you so much for your continuous support. See you next time 😊

Wow. Working really hard here! You've probably already written about it somewhere, but I've got to ask how the anime cutscenes come together? Have you hired a team for that? Or how do you manage all that stuff just by yourself anyways?

Hi! All the Anime cutscenes are made by Nicca - a freelance animator. I usually give him the concept, design, references, and description of the scene and he & his staff do the magic 😁
