I've been experimenting with 3DCG again, and I'm now considering utilizing renders for both the promotion (such as the cover) and in-game rewards (courses clear pictures) for Super Night Riders Season 2.

Here's the original design of Yoko, the main playable character in SNR S2...

... and here's a semi-realistic 3DCG render of her, that could be used as a course clear reward when displaying the race's stats.

This is just an early test. The renders used in the final game will be more refined, using various costumes, poses, expressions, backgrounds and lighting.

The initial plan was using Anime illustrations, such as the cover of Super Night Riders...

... but, I'm considering this 3DCG alternative for two reasons:

- Cost effective: I can make ton of renders like this one myself, including variations etc. so it's close to free.

- Time effective: One Anime illustration would require waiting at least one month. I can make renders like this one in just a few hours.

So, what do you think guys? Please answer the poll and leave your thoughts bellow.

Thanks!
