Hello!

I hope you guys are well and safe! I'm OK on my side.

This is DevLog #48. This means that exactly 4 years worth of monthly devlogs from neko.works have been documented on this Patreon!

This goes back all the way before the release of Light Fairytale Episode 1 and even Super Night Riders, and now covers the development of Episode 2 and Season 2!

Thank you so much for your support through all these years. I really hope you're enjoying my games and apps, and will enjoy even more what's coming next!

Now, let's talk about what I've been working on this past month.

I've implemented the first summon in Light Fairytale Episode 2. It's called "Dark Order", here's a quick look:

Though, this month I've worked mostly on improving the overall code and gameplay. Ton of little things that will make the whole experience better.

For instance:

- "Fury" is now on the main command menu and can be either activated right away or kept for later use.

- The elemental orbs are now displayed on the player's weapon with a colored dynamic light.

- Haru's orb sword can now work without an orb.

- The additional elemental damage is now merged with the initial damage - so no more weird multi damage animation.

etc.

Actually, even Episode 1 should benefit from these improvements, so I have upgraded it from Unity 2017 to 2019 and I've started implementing these changes. I'll update Episode 1 within 2 weeks on Steam and a bit later on consoles.

I've also updated Live Wallpaper Maker for both Windows PCs and Android, with a few new features and dynamic themes - including a Super Night Riders theme! Here's a look:

And here's a new work-in-progress theme inspired by Prince of Persia that I'll publish soon.

Live Wallpaper is still totally free. Grab it here: neko.works/LWM

Thanks for answering the poll about Anime VS 3DCG for Super Night Riders S2! I'm happy that you didn't dislike my 3D render :3

Though in the end, I've decided to order an Anime cover just like for the original Super Night Riders. Here's the draft:

I'm still considering using 3DCGs for the course clear screens, but I'm currently leaning toward full Anime artworks, even though it'll cost a lot.

Anyway, here's a 3DCG render of Yoko for this month's 4K wallpaper!

And that's it for this month!

Again, thank you so much for your continuous support. Stay safe everyone!
