Yep. He is a terrible person. And a fascinating character.

Daryl

I like how you managed to talk yourself into a bit of a moral cul-de-sac as you were working through your thoughts on the episode. That's easy to do when the rules of the game have so many shades to them. While agreeing that the patient was wrong for cheating, but also that someone might be wrong for calling him out on it because that's too judgy. Absolutely yes, that wasn't subtle. I do feel that it served a larger purpose. It helped to more heavily imply that it was Cameron who leaked the story to the press. Not necessarily just for our benefit, but more so for the other characters. No, it's not her job as a doctor to evaluate and openly provide vociferous condemnation over the actions of her patients. But the same could be said for her, as it is for the habitual cheater, people make mistakes and calling them out on them is way too judgy. In the end, she didn't cheat on her dying husband and didn't give the press the information, but she also isn't infallible. The cyclist did bend the rules to win and make himself money. It is possible to take the two positions, but they are a bit contradictory in my book. What is provided in the narrative, is balance. Different characters can take different positions and the morality of those choices and actions are laid out for us to pick apart, as you were so rightly able to.
