Aurora was actually written unnamed into this universe in TVD season 2 episode 19 titled Klaus when Elijah said he found away to bring back Katerina from death after Klaus breaks the hybrid curse Klaus badgers him about love making weak and they can’t afford to be weak. Aurora for over thousand years was the first and last woman he ever loved cuz he thought Aurora hated him and never loved him. She destroyed him.

Yeah I love learning more about Elijah. This arc is really interesting. He’s 100% not a saint, none of them are. It’s kind of grating for me to watch because it’s usually the opposite way around where the villain gets presented more positively. I appreciate it a lot though. I think it’s a great writing choice. Maybe an unpopular opinion but I like when Klaus and Elijah aren’t so tight knit. The unbreakable devotion gets weird.
