Update Sept 10th 2023: We have added the "Modular Forest" to the Procedural Generator as per common request. Just update "Modular Forest" and enjoy!
Also, you can create a macro to open the generator automatically instead of navigating into the settings menu. Open the Macro Toolbar at the bottom of the screen, click an empty slot, select
script type, paste this command without the quotes: "WFCLib.openApp()" and save . Now every time you click the macro the generator will open.

Hi everyone! This month it's our first anniversary and it's gonna be full of surprises.

To start the month we want to announce that we worked with theripper93 to make this free Foundry Procedural Generator. And when I say we worked I mean he did all the hard work.
Click generate and the Generator will fill the scene with tiles preconfigured with walls and lights, literally one click and you are ready to go.

At this moment we only have 4 of our Modular Maps, but let us know if you want us to include more of them to the Procedural Generator. If you haven't already, join our Discord and don't hesitate to give us feedback

Huge thanks to theripper93 for this module. Go check his website https://theripper93.com, he has tons of very useful free and premium modules.

To use the Procedural Generator:

  1. Install the free WFC Module by theripper93 https://github.com/theripper93/wfc-procedural-generator/releases/latest/download/module.json
  2. Update or install the Modular Street, Modular Sewers, Modular Caves and/or Modular Dungeon packs.
  3. Import the Modular Map that you want from the compendium. ("Right Click > Import All Content"). Delete your old Modular Tiles if you already had them, tiles names have changed and the program won't recognize the old tiles.
  4. Create a new scene with the size that you want. The generator will fill the scene as much as it can.
  5. Go to "Game Settings > Configure Settings > Library: Wave Function Collapse > Open Procedural Generator".
Alternatively you can create an easy macro to open it directly. Open the Macro Toolbar at the bottom of the screen, click an empty slot, select script type, paste this command without the quotes: "WFCLib.openApp()" and save . Now every time you click the macro the generator will open.
  6. Select the map that you want and the Generator that you want. You'll find different variations and premade collections.
  7. Click Generate. That's it! The map will generate in the scene. From there you can further edit the map and change tiles.

If you want to generate a new map you can clear the scene and then generate again.

Enjoy!

This is amazing. Big fan of ripper93 and a patron of his. Heard of this, love these versions of modular maps. I also use the Baileywiki Equivalent content, but this generator is fantastic for those really quick canvases for you to fill in. All of these in combination with some token attached decor and it's been serving most of my "quick" map needs and saving me a lot of time from having to custom make maps all the time. I would love if you guys worked to include the pyramids, forest, ETC into the WFC. Perhaps even the new Modular Buildings could be worked into it, I could really see some great use of it there. As is tho even, great work. I've been using these to make small little 2, 3 room cottages and quickly generate random house interiors.

Hey Raymond! Thanks a lot for your comment. Glad you find them useful. Don't hesitate to share any feedback you may have in our Discord. I'll work today to add the Pyramid and Forest Modular Maps into the generator. Should be available in the next few hours. We'll have to ponder about the Modular Building tho, the generator only accepts squared tiles, but thanks for the suggestions.
