I mentioned them in my last post about mobile phones and I recently took some footage of people using them in a restaurant whilst having brunch with Sasha, so I threw together this little video for you guys explaining exactly how these shared power banks actually work:

I think it's a really nifty idea and I love how China manages to implement schemes like this very rapidly and if it fails they move onto the next thing with little or no delay.

Anker is a well regarded brand in the US - I have several of their products - good quality, good design, good documentation AND good customer service.

I see a lot of younger people glued to there phones in restaurants here in the USA. I think quality may also be an issue. If I have a full charge in the morning I won't need a power bank all day. The exception is if I use the remote control app for my Roku. I have no idea why that sucks so much juice.
