Some eagle eye viewers have pointed out that my Chinese car has what appears to be a Bently badge on it and no I didn't add or modify anything

Let's look at a Bently badge side by side:

Okay, here's the classic Bently badge:

Here's a Chrysler 300 badge, now for my Rently!

Even looks like a B ;) suffice it to say that the logo of my car is a clear knock off of both the Bently logo and the Chrysler logo, this car was produced in 2010 and I bought it brand new, the brand of the car is "Riich" yes, that's spelled right, it was supposed to be the "Lexus" of Chery... And Chery is a very blatant knockoff of Chevy.... So we're talking about a brand that built it's fame producing an almost one to one copy of the Chevy Spark, calling itself Chery and then producing a luxury division called Riich knocking off the Bently logo... Oh China, how you never cease to not surprise me ;)

The QQ is such an exact copy that you can take the doors off of a Chevy spark and they fit perfectly on the QQ and vice-versa, Chevy tried to sue Chery but the predictable nationalist backlash "How dare you attack our Chinese companies" caused a massive boycott against Chevy in China and so they decided to let it go so that they could get the much desired China market sales. Chery isn't the only one guilty of copying badges, in fact all Chinese automotive companies started out or still use logos that are without doubt blatant copies, let's look at BYD's original logo:

Look familiar? How about we move the text to the top and split the middle:

That looks more like it! (I honestly thought BMW had released China only cars when I first arrived in China), and well one of my favourites, Chana:

They make vans etc, but their logo is an upside down Toyota logo right?:

But reminds me of the Star Trek fleet logo more lol:

Here's a 2018 Chana van, Beam me up Scottie!

Lol, anyway I'm always chuckling at the very unoriginal logos and brands that I see on a day to day basis in China so I thought I'd share, and yes I drive a Rently!

Stay Awesome!

Hmm very interesting, culturally. What do Chinese people (untravelled/ or nationalist vs internationally exposed/educated) think about this?
