I agree with another commenter about finding ads that interrupt the material I came for really annoying; I mean, if I wanted that experience I can watch broadcast commercial TV! One of the other creators I support on Patreon is a tech channel where the host likes the freedom he gets from not having to worry much about YouTube's advertising guidelines and the dreaded "demonetization". I think you strike a good balance... or perhaps I should say an AWESOME balance. ;) As an aside - possibly an idea for a future video - do you know if there is anyone offering "westerner friendly" tours of places like Huaqiangbei for techie nerds who don't speak Chinese? I've watched your videos on the area and those by Scotty of Strange Parts and I find them fascinating - but I know I'd be utterly lost without a trustworthy guide/translator.

I do not care about ads I am still pissed off when you use youtube I can n0t comment so put it on Paetron first so I can comment. In Boston we have a lot of doctors killed every year but you are a good husband and taught your wife to fire a gun to protectect herself and others if needed come to Boston some day if if want to see a lot of medical schools and famous hospitals.
