This anime ends at about the end of volume 4 of the manga and they’re up to volume 8 now and still going so a lot more story ahead. The first volume of the manga comes out officially out in English on April 2nd.

i just remembered that this show was done by Madhouse, who have been busy with a certain sorta-popular show about an overpowered autistic white haired elf grandma and her flashback adventures. If the runaway success of Frieren becomes the reason this show doesn't get a season 2, i'll finally have something to be slightly unhappy about with it
