I'm fully aware that yamada is a sweet boy but im not sure why they had to make him a highschooler... idk it feels a lil weird to me. Also, like i know he means well but he deffo needs to get some emotional intelligence so that he can stop hurting others since he doesn't mean to clearly.

anyways, out with the old and in with the new akane baby <3

Yeah, I felt the same way initially about the HS thing, but forgot that japan only has 3 years of high school. So Yamada and Akane are 18 and 20 respectively. Not a huge difference.

"anyways, out with the old and in with the new Akane baby" i totally misread that statement and thought you were talking about throwing out the old Akane ... and i was about to hit the unsub button so fast your head would spin. Thought you were talking bad about my fav. I remember watching this show up to this point when it came out and didn't watch any further cause it wasn't hitting. Might watch the rest along side you to see if i change my mind.

He is 18 and she is 20. It's not that big of a deal. At least i don't think so. I dated a girl in high school who was 2 years behind me. That wasn't a problem. 6 months later i was in college and she was still in high school. It is weird seeing the guy younger in an anime though. Marin was 15 in My Dress up Darling living alone. I am not sure if that's a popular thing in real life in Japan, but it seems to happen in a lot in rom-com anime

you know watching this episode I think it might be possible that Yamada is on the spectrum? I don't think he intends to be rude or mean regarding stuff like the guild's storage and the love confession and whatnot
