One month has passed since my last update to Take That Succubus! Things are going really well so far. In case some of you missed the info, as I announced in the game, Take That Succubus is currently under a really in depth graphic redesign, with a stronger pc, I can finally say goodbye to 3DCG and focus on the way better program, Koikatsu.
Me and my tester decided to change every single enemy, stage and scene with the new graphics and maybe even add a little bonus or two to older and bare-bone stages like stage 1.

Even if I was worried about this huge leap of faith, so far Koikatsu has been such a great program, more characters are being made and more progress on the reskin is on the way, now that I fully learned how to use it, the next character reveal will take way less.
This entire process took me this long since Koikatsu is way more detailed than 3DCG, not only when it comes to graphics, but the level of detail is really high and it's easy to fuck up with proportions or even miss some techniques that would make your characters look even better, I had to follow a lot of guides and I'm only 1/4 trough the stuff that there is to learn about this new program, I'm confident that after this huge learning phase, I will then be able to use Koikatsu with the same confidence that I had with 3DCG.

Let's be a bit specific, I think you guys deserve some explanations on what has been done so far:

- The default Koikatsu "light bulb" shaped head has been changed to look more anime, every character in TTS will have a "shovel" shaped head to give more of an anime vibe and also because it looks way better.
- Different techniques have been used to polish Koikatsu's standard feet to make them look way better, soft and detailed, this process is not fully complete, more of that later.
- Changed skin so that the body models are way more detailed when it comes to genitals.
- In general me and my tester familiarized with the engine's advanced bones, this allowed us to change stuff like shoulder and spine, giving some of the characters like Midnight an hourglass shaped body instead of the boring curve normal Koikatsu characters have, this also opened us the opportunity to manually apply pointy ears to Midnight and Lullaby and we're not done yet, so many possibilities are opened thanks to this feature!

I talked about different techniques to improve feet and as I said, there's a little more to be said, this opens up the opportunity for me to talk about overlays, this is something new that I have yet to familiarize with. Textures can be modified thanks to Koikatsu's material editor, allowing me to draw on top of pre-existing textures or even make ones of my own, a little example, is Alex's shirt's symbol, a little "èmé" it was a little skull drawn by me before-.. however, we thought about the fact that with Skull already having a similar design on her helmet and decided not to make duplicates so early in the game. Simply put, you can already see that we've already been working on stuff like that and we want to add patterns like wrinkles, redder spots or even dirt on soles to add variety and possibilities, afterall, might I remind you that this is a foot fetish game ;P

You might be thinking that overlays will be our next objective and that is correct! We'll explore more and more techniques like that, ripped socks and pantyhoose, dirty soles, sweaty feet, wet socks, dirty shoes insoles etc.. are just a few learning steps ahead from us being able to replicate them in Koikatsu.

Expect the next character reveal to be very soon as all 4 the next characters are almost ready and just need a few small tweaks.

One last announcement before I go work some more.

With an immense pleasure, I'm glad to announce that I should stop calling notAnother1 my tester, since last month, he has been officially promoted from tester to co-developer! Can we get a round of applause? A lot of stuff simply would not have been possible without him! (god bless his ability to bear my perfectionist, paranoid and picky mind TvT)

They look so good, its a great improvement. When you say "add sweaty soles" please don't make them look like a shower, it's not realistic. You can put some filters on the camera when some attacks happens, like steamy when a girl put her sock on your face, or dripping water. (sorry for my english, i'm lazy to open google translate).

About sweaty feet we'll have to see, I'm probably not going to makethem look like a shower pfft, but in some rare cases I might exaggerate a bit for really, really sweaty characters, but at the same time, we'll try our best not to mess up things. About the filters, that's a good idea indeed :0 I already did something like that like with Midnight's charming gaze.
