Donkey Kong Country "Fear Factory" - Tabs, Backing Track, and MIDI (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file for my metal cover of the amazing FEAR FACTORY theme from Donkey Kong Country!

Rhythms:

Style - thrashy, technical

Difficulty - 3/5

Our rhythms here are definitely a huge attraction in this arrangement. We have some amazingly fun riffs to play and I think all skill levels should give it a shot! Just be warned that some parts get pretty technical and challenging, so I'd recommend taking parts slow if you're new to these kinds of riffs!

We begin with some very precise and technical picking on the 4th fret. All alternate picking here.

Now we have our main riff. This is definitely an amazingly fun riff. It's a bit technical but if you take it slow you'll get it! The left and the right are different parts that harmonize so keep that in mind when learning it.

Now we have our verse where things finally get simpler. We're just jamming a straight up thrashy groovy riff on the 4th fret.

Then finally we have our chorus part which is the easiest part as we're playing some big open chords highlighting the melody here.

Leads:

Style - melodic, technical

Difficulty - 1/5

Our leads here are overall way more chill than our technical crushing rhythms. That being said, we do have a few little tricky parts in here.

We begin with some left and right harmonies playing off of each other then we go into the main riff.

The main melody comes in on the first verse. This is a super easy melody that's one of the most iconic melodies in all of VGM and it's great for everyone to play! Definitely hit this up and have fun!

Now we have our pre-chorus melody which is another easy awesome melody. Not much else to say about these 2 melodies besides have fun!

When the main rif kicks back in, we do a lead-version of our technical rhythm riff stacking on top of it an octave higher. This is probably the hardest part of the leads minus the solo.
