Freedom Planet [METAL COVER] "Dragon Valley" (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the FULL VIDEO for my metal cover of DRAGON VALLEY from Freedom Planet requested by Crimson Gaia!
This theme absolutely slaps from start to finish. It has this amazing rhythmic element to it that drives the song and makes the melodies really soar on top.
I tried SUPER hard on the drums for this one. I didn't want to just put in some basic fills but instead treat it like a world-class drummer would and try to do some really fun stuff with the hi-hats and cymbal work. Since the main back beat is very straight forward, the cymbal work is what can really make or break it here. I'm super stoked with how that turned out!
The melodies were a TON of fun as well. It reminds me a lot of like Iron Maiden style where they're very harmony-driven and melodic. I got to use a lot of cool effects like delays on the mix since the melodies aren't too busy and I could focus on the atmosphere they bring alongside the pummling rhythm section.
