Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI for my metal cover of "Fateful Confrontation" from "The Legend of Heroes"

Tuning:

Rhythms - 7 string B Standard

Leads - 6 string E Standard

Rhythms:

Style - thrashy, fast, technical

Difficulty - 5/5

This song is NO joke in terms of being challenging. We have a lot of super technical and very fun parts. Newer players should still give these parts a shot at low speeds and have fun with it!

We begin with the main riff which is the first of the numerous tough riffs. It's all in the first position and it's all about technical palm muted power metal picking at high speeds here. As well as navigating different strings.

We now have our verse, where we're pedaling on one individual notes with palm mutes at fast speeds. It's a nice break on the fretting hand but the picking hand is going light speed here.

Now we have our pre-chorus; easily one of the most fun parts of the song. It's very technical but it should be manageable if you start slow!!

Next we have our chorus which is FINALLY a break and we get to ring out some big open chords here.

Now we have our breakdown where it gets insanely tricky. It's an odd-time-meter riff very Dream Theater-like. It involves a lot of string skipping and precise picking.

Leads:

Style - unique intervals, octaves

Difficulty - 4/5

Our leads are still tricky but I'd say not as insane as the thrashing rhythms. We begin with a technical melodic intro then go into the verse.

The verse is an easier part, it's jumping up some strings but at a slower melodic speed.

Now we have our pre-chorus where we spice it up a bit. this part gets insane with the speed to match the rhythms.

Now we have our chorus where we're playing nothing but octaves up and down the strings and the neck.

That's about it! I hope you enjoy learning some of these riffs and licks. Send me a message if you have any questions!

Rock on!

~ Jack
