Legend of Dragoon [METAL] Boss Battle 1 - ToxicxEternity Remix (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Here is the full video for my metal cover of the amazing Boss Battle 1 theme from The Legend of Dragoon requested by Josh B!

I had so much fun busting out this epic boss theme. It lends itself so well to metal guitars. That main riff was super fun and it felt almost like some 80's shred metal riffage that made me want to plug into 100 Marshall Stacks and blast it for my neighbors.

Alongside having some really fun guitar parts in this theme, I also felt a lot of opportunities to bring in some more FX and VST elements into this arrangement. Mainly during the intro riff. The percussion is all over the place on the original theme which helps it feel driving and fills everything out. So I felt that I had to re-create that or else the theme wouldn't have the same energy.

So I literally spent hours on finding some really cool percussion samples to try and layer on top of my drums and I'm super stoked on how it sounds in the final mix!

Lastly, I'm super proud of this solo that I did for this one. I tried to switch up my lead playing and bust out some unique shred lines that I haven't done before so I feel like I made some gains in my playing working on this solo.
