Final Fantasy VI METAL "DANCING MAD" - ToxicxEternity Remix (Patreon)

Hey guys! Here is the full video for my metal arrangement of the epic "Dancing Mad" theme from Final Fantasy VI requested by Daniel W.

I went into this arrangement making sure my entire 2 weeks was completely clear and I could just dive into this and live in this theme for 2 weeks straight. It works perfectly that it was during the holidays when things were slow and I didn't have many distractions happening. This would definitely end up being my most epic undertaking in my whole career so far.

I spent so much time on the arrangement. I think the arranging process was the most intense as I had to try to visualize this 9+ minute piece as one cohesive metal song. I tried to reference the original as much as I could and really make sure I kept the vibe intact and I think I pulled it off!

Then of course the recording, oh boy. To be fair, the rhythm guitars were actually relatively chill so that was almost like a break in the process where I could relax a little bit. But then the lead guitars!! what an experience that was tracking them. The middle-end section where it picks up and gets really proggy with the time signatures in particular was a crazy section to record. I feel like I really made some gains on guitar tracking these licks.

The mixing too ended up being something that I'm insanely proud of. I wasn't particularily looking to make a big improvement in my mixing here but I actually took a LOT away from working on Hell March with Adam the week prior. The bass tone we used is easily my favorite bass tone so I did some further tweaking to the tone with me playing bass and I'm super proud of how my mix kind of evolved from that gain.

I'm super proud of this theme and I'm so proud of what I was able to accomplish overall this year. Thank you all for your support this year. I couldn't do this without you guys and It means the world to me that you're here for the ride.
