Hi guys! Here is the full video for my metal cover of the amazing "The Opened Way" theme from Shadow of the Colossus!

I am posting this 1 day late on 11/1 because I didn't want to hit you guys with 5 videos for October. I will be balancing it out this month by taking a few days off this month and maybe bringing you guys a different type of video such as my studio tour or something else. I'm open to suggestions if you have any ideas!!

I had such a blasts working on this theme. Shadow of the Colossus' ost is insanely nostalgic to me. It's one of the first times in VGM that a full orchestral arrangement was utilized as the hardware just began to allow it in the ps2 days. The compositions on this ost are absolutely godlike and every battle theme makes for an amazing metal cover.

This theme in particular though really stuck out for me. I wanted to go into this arrangement almost taking the whole theme apart and building it up again as a banging melodic metal song. The rhythmic elements on my arrangement are much different which I'm super happy with. I think it really works with the melodies and progressions that I remained super faithful to to keep the nostalgia strong.

Overall I had such a blast on this theme and I hope you enjoy it!
