Hey everyone! Here are the Guitar Pro tabs, and MIDI file for my metal cover of Final Fantasy 7's "Opening / Bombing Mission"!

We have some amazingly fun yet pretty insanely technical riffs in here! The rhythm guitars are going to be very high tier challenge but the leads have some slightly more chill parts. Overall this is a very intense piece and it's a ton of fun! If you're newer to playing then you still totally got this in the bag, just slow it down and build up speed slowly!

Rhythms:

Style - technical riffing, fast palm muting

Difficulty - 4/5

Our rhythms here are challenging throughout the whole piece. But they're a blast once you get them down.

We enter our main riff with our first insane technical riff. This is the main motif of the piece and it features some very complex fretwork and picking.

We then take that same idea and bring it up to G minor in our main riff cont.

Now we have our breakdown which is way more simplified and is super thrashy and fun. IT still will challenge your picking hand however!

We now have our second verse which features a really fun slide and some more technical riffing.

Finally we have our outro riff which is just straight up right hand thrashing on the A power chord.

Leads:

Style - palm muted leads, ringing out notes

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads are notably more chill than our rhythms here in terms of challenge. We start off with the beautiful opening melody and then go into bombing mission.

This whole arrangement has a lot of layering to the leads, each part if relatively easy and it's more about how they add up together.

When our breakdown kicks in, that's where it gets more technical. We bring in some palm muted almost rhythm-guitar like leads during this part.

Our 2nd verse after the breakdown is where we bring in that iconic FF7 melody and this is a super fun and easy to learn melody.

That's about it! If you have any questions, feel free to message me on here or on discord.

Have fun and rock on!

~ Jack
