Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI to my instrumental metal cover of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's "Lifelight" theme!

We have some amazingly fun melodies in here and of course the main melody is one of the most iconic VGM melodies that recently came out. So I hope you all enjoy learning some of these riffs and licks. Let's break them down!

Rhythms:

Style - heavy palm mutes, big 9th chords

Difficulty - 2/5

Our rhythms here are super straight forward and really the complexity here lies in the chord progressions and arranging more so than the technique involved in playing them.

The song opens up with our main chord progression and then we go into a heavy D minor riff for a brief moment.

We then go into our clean section which is one of the trickiest parts of this piece. These chords are pretty stretchy and utilize a lot of the strings so take this slowly and try to make sure you play it super clean!

We then go into our heavy verse in G minor which is super straight forward and fun.

Our pre-chorus utilizes open chords so make sure you let the notes ring out!

We now go into our chorus and it's business as usual with some big rock chords and heavy palm muting here. Nothing terribly complex but it's a very satisfying riff and very fun!

Leads:

Style - up and down strings

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads here are a tad big more challenging but it's still great for newer players with this lower difficulty level overall!

Our main melody starts us off and it's one of the easiest and most fun parts of this arrangement. I'm sure most of us are here for learning this iconic melody and it's really worth giving a shot!

We then have our second verse melody in that key of G minor during the clean part. This one might be a TAD bit more challenging but it's still a ton of fun and great for newer players.

Our pre-chorus is another simple and slow melody but it can get a bit wacky with some of the fingerings and fret jumping.

Finally our solo is the last main talking point here. We start with some super fast alternate picking and then do some hammer-ons going up and end it with a big rock bend!

That's about it for the main points of this arrangement. I hope you all have a blast learning some of these riffs and licks and if you have any questions, feel free to message me on here or DM me on my discord server.

Have fun and rock on!
