Hey everyone! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file for my metal cover of Sonic Adventure 2's "Final Rush" theme featuring RichaadEB!

We have some super fun and straight-forward riffage here that is great for newer players looking to improve their riffing skills! However, even if you're a super experienced player, these melodies and riffs are a ton of fun!

Rhythms:

Style - power chords, alternate picking

Difficulty - 1/5

Our rhythms here are SUPER simple. However there are a few quick picking parts that will be challenging at full speed for newer players. Make sure to take these parts slow and get that picking hand super tight.

Our main riff is one of the easier parts with a little hammer on bluesy riff then some aggressive palm mutes at the tail end of the riff.

We then go into our verse riff which has some pretty  complex picking here on that 2nd fret and this will challenge your picking hand a bit more than the first riff.

And for our chorus, we bust out into straight 16th notes thrash metal pedal riffs that will take your picking hand for a ride. Take this slow like I mentioned earlier!

Then to wrap it up, we're doing some cool open chords that are super cool sounding and relatively chill to play.

Leads:

Style - hammer on's, tapping

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads are super chill as well, however we're throwing in a few little challenges in there with some tapping.

Our first main melody is playing the main riff but an octave higher.  We then go into a relatively challenging part.

The next part is all tapping going up the A minor scale. This part is tricky because you have to transition your hand up the scale very quickly. It's a ton of fun though once you get it down!

Then we have our chorus melody which is super fun but the note intervals are pretty wacky. It's definitely a unique take on a chromatic chord progression here but it's not terribly fast so it should be pretty chill and fun!

For my guitar solo, we're doing a TON of shredding here. The beginning of the solo is more melodic starting off slow and doing some fun vibrato parts here. Then immediately, we're alternate picking up the A minor scale and doing some legato on the way down. Then we're doing the same thing but on a grander scale, doing a big alternate picking run starting on the 5th string and then legato-ing on the way down.  The last part of the solo is the most intense with some string skipping tapping and some sweep taps to wrap it all up!

I hope you guys enjoy learning some of these (for the most part) super chill and fun riffs and licks. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message on here on my discord server!

Rock on!
