Hey guys! Here are the tabs, backing track and MIDI file for my metal cover of Goldeneye 007's Dam Theme! This arrangement is amazing for all skill levels as there's nothing that's ridiculously challenging but even if you're an experienced player, I guarantee you will have fun. This is especially great for beginner players to get their chops up!

Rhythms

Style - Power chords, open chord ringing, percussive muting

Difficulty - 1/5

Our rhythms for this arrangement are super straight forward and a great piece to learn for newer players looking to get some metal riffage going!

We start the arrangement with some fat power chords that are ringing out until our first verse.

The first verse we're playing an E power chord and doing that signature James Bond style 5th movement.

Our pre-chorus we're ringing out some big open chords and this can be a bit tricky as you're jumping up to the 7th fret relatively quickly. the chords themselves are pretty straight forward though. Just don't feel discouraged if it's tough to jump across the fret board like that because I had some trouble with that as well!

Our next verse has some percussive elements to it (the x's on the tabs indicate a percussive pick / fret slap). this part is insanely fun as you're just riding that 4th fret for most of it. The end of this passage though has a legato melody line that can be a bit challenging! Make sure to use hammer on's and pull offs here and pick as little as possible.

That's about it! For our outro we're just doing power chords and going out of it with a fat E chord!

Leads:

Style - fretting hand stretching, bending

Difficulty - 2/5

Our leads are SLIIGHTLY more challenging than the rhythms but they're still some amazingly fun melodies for newer players to get their lead chops going.

Our intro lick is one of the toughest parts, this tapping will be tough but like all tapping, focus on taking it super slow and make sure you're doing the hammer on's properly. Reference my video to make sure it's right!

After that we have our main melody in the verse, this is an amazingly fun melody that will stretch out your fretting hand a taaadd but it's pretty chill besides that.

Our pre-chorus we're just playing some fat octaves. Nothing hard here but it's super fun and expressive.

Our part after that we're doing some super dissonant semitone chords that alternate between the left and right harmony. Easy to play but they sound super cool.

Our second verse we're doing that other main melody with the percussive notes there then for the second half of it, we're holding the notes out and sliding up and down the neck in the same shape.

Our guitar solo starts off with that iconic James Bond melody quickly followed by some INSANE taps. This is insanely hard. I don't count my solos towards the difficulty level but yeah this is a super hard tapping lick. Take this slow and make sure to reference my video and maybe even watch that part in .5 speed to see it clearly.

Our very last lead line at the end is very challenging too on the harmonies. The jump up to the high string from the G string will be very challenging but you can get it if you just grind it and practice it!

I hope you guys have a blast learning some of these licks and riffs, If you guys have any questions, feel free to message me on here or send me a message on my Discord server! Have fun shredding!!
