Hey guys! Here are the tabs, backing track, and MIDI file to my metal cover of Warcraft 2's ORC THEME 2 requested by my man Jon B!

There's a really cool variety of riffs and licks in here that all skill levels and chew on and get some sick practice in! The interesting thing about this arrangement is that none of the licks are particularly insane on their own, but having it all come together and the amount of layers it has, it really feels like an intimidating piece of music to learn. However, when you break it down you can see how simple most of these melodies are! But let's start with teh rhythms!

Rhythms:

Style - power chord chugs, moderately fast down picking, open chords

Difficulty - 2/5

Our rhythms here are super straight forward with only a section or 2 of challenging stuff. Like most of my riffs, they rely a lot on some tight down picking that could be challenging to newer players. Down picking is so essential to kick ass metal guitar playing though and i'd definitely reccommend grinding out some hours of down picking practice. These riffs would be perfect for that especially that main riff as well as the verse cont.

There's really not much else to say other than these riffs are super fun and straight forward! I had a ton of fun recording these for sure. I'm actually pretty darn proud of the chords during the Chorus cont. when it gets really open and it sounds very epic

Leads:

Style - arpeggios, layering

Difficulty - 2/5

Compared to most of my arrangements, these leads are super chilled out! They definitely can sound intimidating on the overall cover but a lot of that is due to just how layered everything is. I think the most challenging thing here is just going to be remembering the huge amount of parts here! The parts themselves are super chill though :)

Throughout a TON of this arrangement we're doing these arpeggio things where you're basically down picking the high 2 strings and filling out some space. This is where the memorization can be challenging (it sure was for me when recording) but it sounds super rad and it's great practice for your muting technique. It's almost like a 50/50 between playing it open and palm muting. Instead just focus on resting your palm SUPER LIGHTLY on the strings instead of a straight up palm mute. It gives it this really cool percussive sound.

The tapping during the first part of the verse can be a bit tricky if you have smaller hands. The stretch from 12 to 7 is pretty insane. However besides that it's some very chill tapping technique.

That's about it! I hope you guys have fun learning some of these riffs and licks and if you guys have any questions, make sure to hit me up either in a DM on here or you can message me on my Discord server!

Thanks so much and have fun!
