Hey guys! Here is the completed video for my metal cover of Warcraft 2's ORC THEME requested by my man Jon B!

This theme was such a blast to arrange but it was also super challenging. I was actually expecting it to be a no-brainer because the chords and melody lines felt so at-home to me. However what caught me by surprise was just how many layers there were to this dense theme! The ways the melodies compliment each other on the original theme is so well-done and really puts you in this dense musical environment. And well yep, I had a LOT to figure out in this arrangement haha.

It was worth it though! Putting all of these melodies and dynamic passages together on this metal arrangement turned out so rad and I'm so happy with how it turned out! Alongside that, we have our super familiar and awesome evil chord progressions and main melodies that I had a blast jamming on.

Anytime I do a Warcraft theme and ESPECIALLY when it's an Orc-related Warcraft theme, I am get insanely stoked. The orcs are the original metal-as-hell video game characters and their music matches that vibe 100%! I had such a blast with this theme because it features a lot of super evil chord progressions and also some slamming rhythmic breakdowns to give the arrangement some major brutality. Alongside those elements, It also has some really nice dynamics in the original that allowed me to give our drums a break for a few bars and really let the song breathe. These kind of elements in an arrangement are so challenging and unique for me which makes it all the more fun to put together. I tried really hard to give these quiet moments some cool effects with some phasing and high-pass automation filters that hopefully make it just explode right back into some sweet riffs. Having dynamics in an arrangement is simply the best.
